Almost every day, new alarming pollution facts that will affect the earth, is being discovered. If we take each and every individual we'll actually discover a very low environment consciousness awareness that allows for the care and regeneration of ecosystems, the recycling of most house waste and the respect for nature in the tiniest aspect.

The following pollution facts serve as an example for our level of ignorance and lack of commitment to an environment-friendly lifestyle.

Ships and cruise boats

About 60 000 people dies every year because of the water pollution ships and cruise boats are creating. The most polluting and busiest ports in the world include Singapore, Hong Kong and Shanghai with the biggest health threat in the world. Such pollution facts should make us think about the future of maritime trade and transportation.

Power plants

To generate electricity, Power plants are becoming more and more popular. The bad thing about it is that it causes about three thousand lung cancer cases and over thirty-five thousand heart attacks only in the USA on a yearly basis. Moreover, the same statistics indicate that pollution facts are even more serious in the under-developed areas of the globe where the industrial and the private sectors do not apply consistent environment protection rules.

Air and water contamination

Some very important pollution facts refer to the close connection between air and water contaminants; thus the chemicals in the water evaporate and fall back on the ground under the form of acid rains. Rainwater is not treated like the one in the sewers and the pollutants are merely changing their aggregation state while still remaining present in the atmosphere or the water.

Soap

If you like to wash your car at home, chances are that the soap that you are using will pollute and destroy the chemical balance of an ecosystem. At the car-wash the waste water will be sent to the sewer and will eventually undergo some treatment before being released in the river, lake or ocean. The water from your back yard will not get this treatment and will release into the ground with all the gas residues and detergent in it.

Animals

Last but not least, animals can pollute too. Livestock that has access to a stream will carry potential and unwanted harmful bacteria to the water, not to mention that the water that runs over fields and pastures could very well bring fertilizers into the streams as well as in the underground water sources.

The working principle behind the technical structure of solar panels is the production of electricity by using only certain light wavelengths with the help of photo-voltaic cells. Sun exposure and low or moderate temperature is the only requirements for the panels to work. Though they are usually manufactured by many businesses in the field, homemade solar panels are also a choice, and many home owners choose to do their own alternative power sources. The kits available on the market as well as the many guides that provide technical details provide the most comprehensive assistance for one who simply wants to cut the electricity bill.

Benefits

Some of the best thing you can do for yourself and your family is to use DIY Solar panels for your home. Some of the benefits are:

- You will save money! In some states tax reduction laws have been passed so as to be applied for people who choose green energy systems like homemade solar panels. Talk to a tax consultant to learn about the advantages of such governmental policies.

- Environment-friendly, producing what is usually called "green energy". Unlike other energy source that creates electricity; homemade solar panels don't create any smog or hazardous emissions. You will be contributing to the reduction of carbon dioxide and other kind of pollution.

Things to consider

Now days, you can find all kinds of kits available on the market that allow one to build DIY solar panels without making the huge investment of $15 000 or even more. But before you buy a kit, there are some things you need to consider before starting to work at the DIY solar panels and that is:

- You need to determine whether you have enough room on your roof to place the DIY solar panels. This is the most important part that you have to think about before buying the kit.

- You will also have to check the exposure to the sun. The amount of heat or electricity that you will generate is directly influenced by the wattage corresponding to the DIY solar panels, as well as by the intensity of the sun light that touches their surface. If the panels are not exposed to the sun for at least 6 hours every day, they will not work as good as they are supposed to do.

- One thing you should know about is that DIY solar panels are not as reliable as the ones you buy readymade. The reason for this is about what kind of material the kit are being made of and the technical skills you posses when assembles the kit.

There are a lot of solar panel retailers that you could use and the ready-made alternative to the DIY solar panels is the most widely used. But, if you want to try homemade variant, then it is highly important that you follow all the steps in the instructions.

Warranty and technical support

It may happen at some point in the design process that you should need help; this can be provided online, on the phone or by contacting the producer of the kits directly. Whichever be the case, treat every aspect with utmost care, as the very system you want to create is a one of high responsibility.

One of the most positive sides about building your own patio is that it takes just a short time to build. It does not matter where you want to build a patio (on the front, side or even back of the house) since the patio is the place where you can benefit from wonderful get-togethers with family members and friends.

The price for the patio depends on the size of the patio you are going to build and also what kind of material and the edging that you are planning to use. But, the price for building a patio is not very high and for a lot of people, they can afford to build the size they want.

Although it is not very hard to build a patio, you still need to be quite organized because it is a pretty complex job.

1. Decide exactly where you want to build the patio. Traditionally, patio areas are on the side or the back of the home but you can also do them in front of the house.
2. Step two is to take small stakes and rope to mark off the designated area.
3. In step three, you should remove all sticks, rocks, leaves and other items in the area in order to prepare the field to build a patio.
4. For those of you who has plants, shrubs, herbs or other vegetation that you would like to save, you should dig them up and place them in temporary potting buckets during the patio building. You really do not need to kill or toss away the plants that you want to keep, just because you want to build a patio and they are in the way. On the contrary, keep them for later use nearby or on the patio and remember that you do not need to destroy other things just because you are building a patio.
5. In step five you should levelling the area.

Building the patio

When you have done all of necessary steps to prepare yourself, it is time to build the actually patio. You start by spreading a layer of polyurethane on the surface. You should spread it beyond the stake markers. But, to know how much material you will need to buy, you have to do some calculing.
When you have finished the paion project, you might want to consider lining and bordering it with shrubs and other plants like bushes and herbs. In one corner you could plant a tree which in time will get to offer you necessary shade. After you build a patio and create a border it is time to add your patio furniture. This is an area that you and your family can enjoy for many years from now on.

A Quick And Simple Guide About Ceramic Tiles

For creating indoor decorations, ceramic tiles are a great product to use. Ceramic Tiles can be used as covering floors and walls (witch is most common) or it can be used to cover chimneys etc. Painted and glazed, ceramic tiles have a high resistance to external factors, as they are not influenced by moisture or temperature variations, they are easy to clean and pretty cheap to install. Ceramic tiles are most commonly massed produced, but it can be customized and pretty unique in design.

Ceramic tiles seems pale and less valuable to natural stone tiles and because of that, the price is lower than the natural stone tiles. Since it cheaper, it is the number one choice for a lot of users. When installing ceramic tiles, you have to consider the thickness and if the tiles has an uneven surface. A thinner one needs more adhesive then a thicker one and if the ceramic floor tiles has an uneven surface, you can use a mortar to correct it and if has some higher spots, you can use very simple chisels moves. Another thing to think about is that its very slippery when wet.

To avoid of getting the tiles stained or too dirty and difficult to clean, make sure to seal the grout lines. If you do not do it, the tiles will become very difficult to clean and moisture has a chance to make its way true the ceramic tiles.

A great advantage of ceramic tiles is that it has even and easy to wash surface. Compare to natural stones, it is a huge different, since the natural stone models usually accumulate dirt in certain patterns. This advantage is the reason why public institution and medical facilities use ceramic tiles, since they need sterile and even structures.

Many years ago, ceramic tiles were used both in mural works and mosaic floorings. It was consider as luxury and their artistic use was more important then their practicality.
Look at Islamic tile work that clearly shows the versatile use of ceramic tiles; they are present in palaces, temples, public buildings and in the homes of upper class families. European cultures were influenced of the artistic tradition of Arab ceramic tiles patterns and used it as decorations in garden and courtyards. Tourists can still admire the beauty of such tile work in the Moorish remnants of Spain: at Malaga and Cordoba for instance; the mosaics are incredibly well preserved testifying once again for the durability of such ceramic structures.

The History Of Bookcases

Bookcase is standard furniture in almost every ones home. It really doesn't matter if you have books or not, because this furniture can be used to store all kinds of stuff. The Bookcase is probably one of the best designed furniture by mankind and in these article I going to explain the history of bookcases.

The books had to be inscribed by hands when they first started to appear. It was only religious institutions and people that were very wealthy who could afford to buy this kind of books. To store these books they used specialized boxes and containers. That's why the need for shelving large quantity of books was not necessary.

In Asia, thing was quite different. Books and bookcases were in fact popular both in Asian homes and libraries. But, instead of using bound books the Asian preferred to use scrolls. The shelves that they were using were deeper and build with many square or rectangular to make it easier to organize these scrolls. An interesting fact is that the tried to hidden the shelves in closets or private room. The minimalist Japanese aesthetics and the fact that scrolls could not be displayed on shelves in the same manner as bound books are reasons why well laden bookshelves did not emerge as a common display item in these cultures.

The art scroll is a very popular item that comes to mind whenever one thinks of Asian art. The hidden shelves of a Japanese home were an important part of Japanese interior design. As many might have heard, a traditional Japanese room that features rotating displays of art work or flower arrangements within the Tokonoma (a small raised platform at one end of a room). Art was not to be constantly arrayed on display as this would overwhelm the viewer; instead art had to be enjoyed sparingly on its own.

To organize the art collection and deciding which piece to display next or what text to immerse your self witch, finally lead to the construction of bookcases.

It was when the invention of the printing press first appear, the books and bookcases became more popular. The first bookcases were build like closed cabinets, but soon turned into the standard form we all know of today and if you want to know how the oldest bookcase look like, you can always visit Bodleian Library at Oxford University.

Finally, as I said in the beginning of this article, bookcases can be used for so much more then just for books. Many use them for displaying trophies, mementos or pictures or even using them for TV and stereo. Its one of the best invention mankind has done and just everybody use these in there homes.

Things You Need To Know About Reverse Osmosis Water Purifier

The filtration and purification processes are highly important not only in the context of muddy water as even the clearest creek may contain micro-organisms harmful for our bodies. With the invention of the drinking water purifier we do not have to worry about the metals, the germs, bacteria, fungi and protozoa present in our water. New products are release every single day but most of them relay on old proven system. There are various types of drinking water purifier, some relying on filtration and some others on the use of disinfectants like chlorine, ozone or iodine. In this article I am going to concentrate on one filtration method, Reverse Osmosis.

R/O (reverse osmosis) is a filtration method that more and more people are using. This filtration method will produce very clean water. These filter us a complex process of water filtration that use several treatment stages in the cleaning process and that is why they are known as "ultra purification" filters. For those who want a simple under sink system or maybe a water purifier system for the entire house, these filters are a perfect unless you don't have limited supply of water. In that case, you should try something else. More on that later.

The R/O system works in two steps:

   1. The first step in the filtration process is the removal of the largest residual particles. This particles are removed by activate carbon and a filter sock. The carbon need to be changed from time to time, to function as it is supposed to.
   2. The second step is when water is pushed at very high pressure through a membrane that only allows the water molecule and not the impurities to pass. The clean water end up in a holding tank and the impurities are flushed away to the waste water container. You need to use a holding tank since the R/O filtration is a slow process and take some time to finish.

Before you decide to set up a Reverse Osmosis system for the treatment of you drinking water, there are a few things you should know about.

    * The system will not protect you against the micro-organisms in the water. That means that you have to test the water to know about how good/bad it is. For that, you can by a home test kit or send the water to a laboratory for analysis. When you have the data, you can decide what kind of filtration system you should use.
    * As mention earlier, the filtration process is a slow process. Only about 15 percent of the water that you are using turns to drinking water quality. The rest is flush away. That mean that if there are any limitations on the water source that you are using, maybe the Reverse Osmosis system is not the right solution for you.

Installation:
You can install the system by yourself if it is only for a single water faucet. If you are planning for a whole house purification system, then it would be best if get some professional help.

Summary:

For those who want a simple under sink system or maybe a water purifier system for the entire house, these filters are a perfect unless you don't have limited supply of water. The first step in the filtration process is the removal of the largest residual particles. The clean water end up in a holding tank and the impurities are flushed away to the waste water container. The system will not protect you against the micro-organisms in the water and as I mention earlier, the filtration process is a slow process. Only about 15 percent of the water that you are using turns to drinking water quality.

To dress correctly is very important when going to a job interview. Chances are that the employer, who is interviewing you, does not see the qualification you have, because of the outfit you are wearing. It can be everything as a bad bar of shoes or just cloth that is dirty. Generally speaking, please choose a simple but formal attire and make sure that the outfit you are wearing is clean and you shoes are polish.

A few words about Hygiene:
To look clean and fresh is also very important! However, do not put on too much make-up or perfume before going to the interview. Use this kind of products lightly. It is mush safer that way, because if you have put on allot of perfume on yourself, and the interviewer has asthma or are allergic to perfume, you will have some serious trouble of getting the job. So, please avoid it.
Another thing to consider is your hare. You should fix your hair so that you will look professional. For woman, it is best if the hair is properly comb

So what should you wear if you are women?
To be more specific, you should follow this advice:

   1. Skirted suits. A two piece matched light colour suit is the safest choice for women
   2. Limited jewellery such as one wedding ring
   3. Briefcase
   4. Ideal footwear to wear is the shoes
   5. Conservative watch

Things you should not ware as a woman:

   1. Gaudy jewellery
   2. Tongue or nose jewellery
   3. Pantsuits (considered being unprofessional and outdated)

Now, let talk about what men should wear:

   1. Decent suit
   2. Tie and a long sleeve shirt
   3. Dark shoes which you have polished
   4. A pair of matching socks.

Things you should avoid to wear as a man:

   1. Bow ties
   2. Earrings or tongue/nose jewellery.

Most of this thing is quite obviously for most of us and If you follow this advice, your chance of getting the job will increase. However, there are a couple of things that I have not mentioned yet. That is that you should check the dress code of the company that you are going to have an interview with, before actually going to the interview.
