First of all what is twitter. Twitter is quite simply a social network based on one question, "What Are You Doing?" The goal is to keep people up to date with what you are doing at the time. You get just 140 characters to express what you are doing at the time, thus making the process very stream line and to the point.

These little updates can be posted in a number of ways from Instant Message to Email. When a message is sent its called a tweet. My research has revealed that over 2 million users are on twitter tweeting away. This means that there is a chance that some of these "Tweeters" may be looking for something that you have to offer.

So in pops the big question. How can I use Twitter to help me market and drive traffic to my website? First we want to warn you that this can be quite addictive. You may find yourself being very unproductive updating people on your days activities. So stay focused. Make sure your getting your message across and getting traffic to your moneymaking sites.

The goal is to get people to "follow" you. Having content that adds value to the community makes people want to follow you. This also causes people to click on your link to get more of what your talking about. Setting up your tweet with enticing information and adding a link to get more is how you can get traffic and also set yourself up as an authority.

Your first source of clicks with twitter is through your "Bio." Here you can describe yourself and then add a link to your favorite moneymaking site.

Another source of clicks is through a tool that you setup to interface with Twitter. www.tweetlater.com allows you to send out a personal tweet message to anyone that follows you automatically. So if your away from your computer etc you can have this message sent to them thanking them for the follow also having your link in this message often induces a click through.

The final source of traffic is through the tweets themselves. Adding a link here may be the most effective. People that are following you will tend to click on these link more readily and over time as well. Don't worry about long links twitter (at the time of this writing) uses tinyurl to truncate your longer urls.

So by adding value and knowing where to put your links to your site you can see that having twitter as addition to your online marketing campaign can give free traffic and make you money.

What Are Tags And How Are They Used?

Some people may not know what tags are and whether they're important or not. Well here is the long and short of it. Let's start off with the definition. Tags are a non-hierarchical keyword or term assigned to a piece of information, such as a blog entry. This kind of metadata helps describe an item and allows it to be found again by browsing or searching. Tags can be chosen by the creator or by its viewers, depending on the system of course.

Within a blog tags allow authors to add free-form tags to a post, along with (or instead of) placing the post into categories. For instance, a post may display that has been tagged with "concert and tickets". Each of those tags is usually a web link leading to an index page listing all of the posts associated with that tag. The blog may have a sidebar listing all the tags in use on that blog, with each tag leading to an index page. To reclassify a post, an author edits its list of tags. All connections between posts are automatically tracked and updated by the blog software; there is no need to relocate the within a complex hierarchy of categories.

So in layman's terms these tags can be used to find your article when the words you used to describe your article are typed in a search engine or within the blog search tool. Very simple concept but really needed when your looking to be notice. What's important here is to use descriptive words that shed light on the subject of your blog entry.

For example for this article I chose, blog, tags, how to, meta, spiders, SEO, and keywords. Tip: no matter where you use your tags blog, website, youtube, if your not sure what one to use remember the internet is an open book, just look for an entry close to yours in subject to get some ideas.

When searching the other articles make sure that you read them. If they are for example using the keywords that you think will bring attention to your article then use them. If comments are a part of the post read the comments as well. This may give you an indication of what information is missing from your article and what information is not needed in the articles you are searching through.

So you can see that tags can make your entry very visible or invisible based on your keywords and tags that you use. Chose wisely and you'll come on top.

High Ticket Vs Low Ticket Affiliate Programs

Let's start off by first defining the difference between a low ticket and high ticket program. This is pretty easy. When we say high ticket we are usually referring to programs that are above $500 dollars. These are the one that will make you think twice before you get involved because of the initial investment involved. Most of these programs will have some type of monthly fee but not all of them. When you see a high ticket program make sure you check to see what the monthly fee may be. If the monthly fee is going to be a problem for you then you may want to seek out a program that will not have this monthly fee attached.

So why the monthly fee you may ask. Most of these companies are going to charge this for one of two reasons. Reason number one would be to cover the cost of your website hosting. Which may or may not be a good reason. You have to determine whether this is a charge that you want to incur. Reason number two may be for residuals and hosting fee. Now this may suit those who are looking to make the upfront money from the sale and the back end or residual from the monthly fee. This definitely has its advantages. Some draw backs are not having that extra money to help advertise. Make sure that your high ticket program over delivers in the area of conversions. The web page should sell itself. If you going to spent big money on a high ticket item their page that tells all about the business should do most of the work. Your job should be mainly driving traffic.

Low ticket programs on the other hand are anything below the $500 level. These are considered as such because of the low entry price tag. They may sometimes have a monthly for the same reasons as above but the fee is normally much lower. With a lower ticket item your reasons for joining may be because you are just starting out and want to test the waters with something small before making the money commitment of the larger program. If this is the case your advertising budget can be a little more flexible. In addition if you don't have a monthly fee then you can also add to your ad campaign.

So in the long run the amount of work that you have to do is about the same. To market a high ticket program whether you use free advertisement (cost you your time) or paid you will have to do the same amount of work. The only determining factors depend on how much money you want spend, how much experience you have, and what type of support your going to get.

The Internet today is a lot different place than it was years ago. In years past you could put up a landing page and drive traffic and make sales. But today's Internet is different. This is why self-branding is essential. Let's look at the ways that people are branding themselves online today.

Self-Branding Through Blogs.

One of the latest ways that people are branding themselves online is through blogs. What is a blog? Well a blog, short for web log, is a website maintained by an individual, with regular entries or commentary about a specific topic. These entries are normally displayed in reverse chronological order. When a blog is properly maintained and constantly updated with up to date valuable information, the owner of the blog can become an authority on a subject and create a loyal following, which can help to build relationships and may lead to sales.

Self-Branding Through Video.

YouTube has totally changed the world of online sales and branding in general. YouTube is a video sharing website where users can upload view and share video clips. This is a great way to present your business opportunity to others and it also give you a great way
to brand yourself through video. Creating a channel around your subject matter is a another great way to create a loyal following. Some stats for videos reveals that more than 100 million videos were being watched every day (as of July 2006).

Self-Branding Through Social Networking Sites.

MySpace, since its inception has taken networking online to a whole new level. Before MySpace and social sites like this there was very little ways outside of chat rooms to meet and great others online. MySpace has made it possible to communicate and share ideas at the speed of the Internet. This is where you tell viewers about yourself, your likes and dislikes and what types of business your in. You can then share and network with other people that share like interest.

Self-Branding Through Product or Services.

Creating products or services that help others increase their online potential is another way to branding yourself. These include e-books, websites, application packages, and software. Adding you name to an e-book or a some other product can create a viral type of marketing that is unstoppable with the right content. The same goes for the products and services. With the right product or service that carters to your industry you can find plenty of people that are willing not only to use your product but they will also see you as an authority and check your business at the same time.

Staying Focused.

There are many ways to brand yourself online, these are only a few. What ever you decided to do make sure that you choose one avenue before adding another. Here's to your self-branding.

Network Marketing - Why Some Are Moving To The Internet

Network Marketing today is a field that still thrives for the age group that is getting more and more seasoned. This is not to say that this is a lost art form at all. People are joining in record numbers as Multi-Level Marketing is becoming an accepted business in many arenas that before had pushed them aside. Take for instance the huge plug which Robert Kiyosaki gives to the industry. This truly is the working man or woman's home business. But as people get more and more computer savvy not only are people using this medium to help boost business and recruiting they are also looking for online opportunities.

No Cold Calling.

One of the biggest turn offs to some would be marketers is making that list of 100-1000 people. This list has given nightmares to even the bravest person. Have you ever sat in front of the phone with your list and thought to yourself, "who should I call first?" What your really thinking is should I even be calling anyone in the first place. In the world of telemarketers and infomercials, the last thing you want to be seen as is one of them. So where you had high ideals and a great plan to free your family, all you have now is cold feet.

Now the world of internet marketing does not eliminate your phone from the equation it only makes you available. Depending on how you set up your online business you may be asking for a phone number. So when people add their phone number they are looking for a call from you. This takes the frost away. In most cases if your website is compelling you will receive a call from those who just want to know that you're a real person.

Friends And Family.

Contrary to popular belief not everyone in your family will be as entrepreneurial as you decided to be when you signed up for that new opportunity. If you poll the biggest people in Network Marketing that you know or can contact, you can believe that less than one percent of the persons in their organization are family members. You probably have found this out for yourself the hard way.

Marketing online you have such a large market of like minded people that it you never run out of prospects. Once more you won't have to worry about being dodged by what used to be your best friend before you tried to recruit them.

Buying Leads.

Buying leads can go either way when it comes to marketing online. It's really a preference. But if you can put together a great website and ad campaign, leads will be the least of your worries.

Profit.

In traditional a MLM if your not the best but manage a sale a month you can in most cases expect around $100 or so. While some Internet companies pay up to $1000 per sale. So if you only make a sale per month you can make great part time money. That will pay a car note and insurance.

Time.

Both Internet and traditional Network Marketing will take time as any business does. If you are a serious Network Marketer you can expect to be at the local coffee shop or in a hotel or someone's home giving a presentation daily if you want to make anything. Coordinating schedules and dealing with no shows are to order of the day. This will lead to time away from family and not to mention with today gas prices, a strain on the budget.

For the Internet Marketer your time will be in the comfort of your home armed with your computer and a cell phone. The whole move to the internet is about automation, once your setup all that is left is maintenance. You can have presentations running a day and night without having to coordinate schedules and worry whether someone will show up. Your prospect if really interested will go through the entire process for you (most online opportunities have company presentations, free test drives, etc). They may even sign up and never contact you. All you have to provide to you site is traffic.

In the home based business arena there are two things that we must be mindful of. These are over working and under working. Is over working possible? I'm not talking about meeting deadlines and putting in a few extra hours to add the finishing touches. The over working I refer to is non-productive hours spent without an objective. We've all been there. Working away for hours and at the end of the day when we look back on our efforts we realized how little we actually accomplished. Under working can be a problem as well. This is described by not giving enough attention to areas of our business that could stand some improvement. We will look at over working and how a daily plan along with organization will make for a great work from home experience and include family as well.

Daily Goals and Objectives.

We all know the importance of goals and goal setting, but most of us set goals for our business or for certain aspect of our business. How many of us set goals for the day? Goals that when they are complete we actually feel that we have done something substantial. Many call this a To Do list. What should this list consist of? Well, if you are just starting your business, it should list out the setup processes that need to be done. Examples are setting up bank accounts, email accounts, getting your business plan together, products, and setting up your website. If all of these are completed you are now focused in on advertising and marketing. Once your objectives for marketing have been set, your focus should be on there effectiveness. Set out time everyday to gauge the effects of your marketing and advertising campaigns. Make sure you set aside time every day for your Research and Development (R&D). This helps to open your business to new avenues.

Are You Organized?

A larger part of home based business is organization. Making all aspects of your business work together makes for an environment of peace versus chaos. Work out a filing system that works for you. If most of your transactions are on line, make folders in your email account that relate to subjects such as business expenses, business bills, write-offs, etc. This helps immensely when you need to find something quickly. Physical folders can be made also if your business deals more with order forms. A file cabinet comes in handy. Have a spreadsheet with a running tally of your expenses, bills, etc. You will thank yourself at tax time!

Family Time.

When we are so focused on our task and objectives we sometimes forget why we chose a home based business in the first place. For some activities, its best that you have quiet; but with other activities, a little interaction won't hurt. Figure out what those tasks are and allow that interaction. Also have set times during your day when it's family time. This may be during dinner and an hour or two after that. If your children are school age, what would be better than doing your non attention grabbing task while they are doing there home work. This not only helps with bonding but will also teach your children a lesson in time management.

There really isn't enough space to expand all of these concepts so your imagination will have to fill in the space for your business. However, you can see that with a few adjustments to your home based business you can create an environment in the home that balances your objectives, keeps you organized and allows for family time as well.

Home Based Business - Essential Steps To Launch For Maximum Profits

A recent study by the Office of Advocacy for the SBA (U.S. Small Business Administration) suggests that $102 billion in annual revenue is generated by America's home-based sole proprietors. Now that number was staggering to me and probably to you as well. This offers great hope to those looking to start a business from home. The home based business entrepreneur must first however take the proper steps before embarking on this journey. Let's take a look at some of the things to consider when starting your home based business.

Where do I fit in?

What's important for a first time business owner is to find out whether you have what it takes. What do I mean by this? Well, it's simple. Are you creative, a problem solver, do you take life by the horns, are you willing to take risk, are you afraid of failing, and are you persistent? Most entrepreneurs are self-motivated. If you look at this list and can pick one or two, you may be on your way. If all of these qualities describe you, what are you waiting for? Know that determination and drive will help to develope all of the above if you feel you don't have these qualities yet.

Next, we want to look at your strengths. The best business to open is one that you are already doing. This may sound strange but make note of the things you love to do, have experience in, or even volunteer for. If you get stuck ask a friend or family member that you share with what they believe you would be good at.

You also want to consider your finances. Are you in the position to go full time or is part time better for you? Starting off part time may take longer to turn a profit, but this option will incur less debt. This option also gives you time to test your market and products without the stress of turning a profit looming over your head. Take into consideration the time that your business will take from your normal daily interactions with family. Consider also when and where you will work your business. Discuss these things with your family. It's best to have their full support.

Your "magic" key to success will be finding "market niches". When choosing a product or service it's necessary that there is a demand for them. Size-up your competition. This allows your business to stand out. Are there any gaps in what large companies are offering that you can fill with your product or service? If your product or service can solve a problem, or save time or money you will have an edge.

Should I incorporate?

When starting your home based business it is necessary to handle all of the legalities first. The last thing you want is to have your hard earned profit go towards lawyer fees.

There are a few structures to choose from. Explaining these could very well make up the content of several large books, but that is not the focus of this article. Let's look at them briefly. These structures include: a sole proprietorship; partnership; a corporation; or a limited liability company. Choosing what's right depends on factors such as, tax issues, if you have employees, your level or liability, and other aspects. Do your homework on this one. Just make sure that what you choose meets your business and personal needs.

Get the proper support.

One thing that some of us do not consider is consulting an expert, someone that has already done what your trying to do. This is a very important step. The expert will keep you from making costly mistakes.

Assemble your team. Think about having a lawyer, bookkeeper, accountant, and an insurance agent. All of these may not be needed for every home based business model but it's still nice to have them at your disposal.

Begin to network with other business owners and organizations. There may be opportunity for collaboration or outsourcing of your skill or vice versa.

Though this may seem like a lot to consider for the first time entrepreneur remember that you're starting something new and there is a learning curve. Give your self a chance to learn as you go. Take small steps until larger ones are more manageable and you will soon be on your way to maximum profits.

Making Money Online - The Keys To Success Online

Making any decision can be hard. There is no harder decision to make than whether making money online is for you. Yes, we all surf from time to time and many of us buy merchandise online. But, when it comes to making a living online, not many of us will survive. The lack of survival rate is mainly due to the lack of facts when you start. Not having the proper information to go on when you start can lead you down a road of frustration and despair.

Knowing what to expect can give you the needed boost you need when times get rough or things don't go according to plan. This allows you to recall that what you're going through others have gone through as well. So it's not that bad. And more than likely you are making progress.

Being the Boss.

Probably the most rewarding of all the benefits of working from home is being the boss. Not having to beg for a raise or vacation is a luxury that few of us ever get to experience. Being the boss also gives you creative leverage; meaning you make the decision when it comes to the direction of your online business.

The other side of the coin of being the boss is there is no one to call to get a problem fixed. It's all on you. Especially online. You're the only one that knows how you set up your business. Although you are the boss, in the beginning you must keep yourself motivated. This is where some of us fail. When we don't see the results that we are looking for right away, we figure that it's the product or service and not the "BOSS" that's responsible.

Work When You Want.

Working when you want to work is another great perk of making money online. If you have a child's game to go to or an event in the middle of the day you just go. This flexibility is a great advantage of the work from home world.

Starting off, however, will be the biggest challenge. You'll have to put in hours of work to get your website optimized properly, get your ad campaigns running, and make the proper connections to get your business running smoothly. The bright side is that when everything is running as a fine oiled engine the time needed to keep it running is much less, thus the appeal of making money online.

Free Stuff.

Traffic is always the order of the day. But did you know that there are many ways to promote your site that do not require you breaking the bank. You have blogs, ezines, and forums just to name a few.

Now the flip side is time. You must allow time for these methods to generate enough traffic to your site to make a difference. This is a pitfall of most would be marketers. Just before the big breakthrough they give up. Give yourself up to 6 months to see results. In actuality, it should not take this long but if you see great results before this then you really know you're on your way.

Set up some markers for yourself to gauge exactly where you are and what you need to do to get more of what you want out of your efforts.

Success.

Nothing beats success. Once you have passed all of the hard start up things like getting your site up, your email campaigns, or your advertising rolling you can have a slight sigh of relief. Then the next part of the success formula is consistency. If you're looking for sales set a goal with a time frame. When you reach this set a more loftier goal. The point here is to keep challenging yourself to do better.

This also helps to keep you motivated on those lonely nights or days at the computer. One final note would be to find a mentor. Someone who has been down the road before and can keep you focused on your goal. See you at the top!

Landing Page - How To Create One That Is Relevant

Let's assume that you already have an adwords campaign working with google or some other form of advertisement that is sending your prospects to your personal landing page.

I will go over the requirement of an effective webpage as it relates to your ad and give you some important tips on how to make your prospect want to opt in to your landing page.

Did you know that you have 7 seconds to grab your prospects attention before they push the back button or leave your site? So what shows up when they open your page is all important. Your landing page must be relevant to the keywords that you used in either your adwords campaign or whatever media you chose to advertise your website.

The goal of a landing page is to build an instant emotional bond with your prospects, show them you understand their needs and can take away their pains. From there you present your offer and guide them to take action. Usually by opting in, buying or both.

This is where web-site copy and ad copy share the same thing in common. The tone, the balance of feature and benefits, the next call to action all must connect with the conversation already going on in your prospects mind. What's going on in their mind is what lead them to your page in the first place, your ad and or adwords campaign.

Here are some examples. If you are selling a product on your web page like car stereo head units and that is your keyword, then your ad should take that person to your entire display of head units. Red car stereo should take them only to Red car stereo.

Some keywords may even lead to a persuasive sight that looks to change the prospects thinking from one way to another. Say for instance an advertising in keyword for one type of software then when they get to your page you let them know the difference between your software and theirs and show them the benefits and extras that you bring to the table.

Let's know look at your headline. Your website headline must be catchy and captivating. It must cause the prospect to want to go further into what your website is talking about.

Establishing creditibility is essential. The look and feel of your webstie has a lot to do with this point. The font, colors, shapes, pictures you use, etc. say a site or even do business with you. Know that different markets respond differently. The best way to tell what sells in your market is to look at other in your market. How are they representing on their pages, what are they saying, what colors are the using, etc? Adding the personal element adds to this as well. Depending on what your selling, association logos go over well. For example BBB, Verisign, Paypal, etc.

Take time to consider what you want your page to accomplish and work toward that goal.

Big Ticket To Wealth is a new program in the home business arena. In a sea of opportunities if you expect to be competitive you must bring something to the table that others may not be offering and some incentives that make the internet entrepreneurs eyebrow raise with curiosity. Today we are going to look at Big Ticket To Wealth and see if its got what it takes to go the distance. Also how they stack up to the competition.

Discover The Difference.

After looking at what Big Ticket To Wealth had to offer to the home business entrepreneur there were many differences that could be pointed out that keeps this company in a class of its own. Let's look at the main difference. Most companies online, like Perfect Wealth Formula, Wealthy Marketer, and EDC Gold, specialize in software and a plethora of ebooks that teach online users how to market online and make money. In looking at Big Ticket To Wealth we see that this is consistent. According to the webpage they have everything from, software to add audio to your site to ebooks that reveal the secrets to effective marketing online. All of these the member gets full resale rights to. This is what this company has in common with the previously mentioned companies.

This is where the similarity stops. What sets this company apart from all others on the internet is their large selection of industry specific videos. These videos, according to the CEO, can cost up to $1500 per minute for someone to have produced outside of the company. Big Ticket To Wealth gives its members the opportunity to resell these industry specific videos to website owners at a fraction of the cost. On the site it is suggested that these videos can be sold to, for example, a real estate agent to help her promote her business online. The suggested retail price of these videos sold to the public is $300, although no price is set in stone.

How Do They Get Paid.

Big Ticket To Wealth's flash presentation details the process to becoming an internet millionaire. Here are some highlights. The company touts matching overrides. This means that when a member sponsors someone and that someone makes a sale and earns $900, so does the member who sponsored him. This happening through infinity. Another thing to highlight that sets this company apart is the residual income that they offer on personally sponsored members. This residual is $50 per personally sponsored member. The main page also makes it known that this is an invite only business opportunity.

Now EDC Gold is a two up program that pays out $997 per sale. Two up means that exatly. Your first to sales are passed up to your sponsor. While Weathy Marketer pays $900 and you pass up no sales you don't get the residual pay out. Finally Perfect Wealth Formual is a zero up program that pay up to $1000 per sale but however again there is no residual income involved. Again Big Ticket To Wealth is slightly different than the competition.

How Does One Succeed.

Although Perfect Wealth, EDC Gold, and Wealthy Marketer offer training, Big Ticket To Wealth does their training much differently. They have training set up with more of a team environment where CEO Gerald Van Yerxa personally trains all members. This may be in addition to training the your personal sponsor may already have in place.

These other companies rely more on individual team sponsors to train. This can be good or bad depending on the level of dedication that the sponsor has to his team.

Conclusion.

In closing is seems like these programs all have good potential. However Big Ticket To Wealth stands out when looking at product section. They all pay out substantially but Big Ticket To Wealth adds residual income into their compensation plan. Training is a must in these companies and the difference here is CEO training vs. your sponsors training. So take a look at these companies and see which one is the right fit for you.
