If you are looking for an over the shoulder baby sling that is very comfortable you should try the Over the Shoulder Baby Holder. This is actually a manufacturing company that makes baby slings and they call it the OTSBH.

Many baby experts have gone on record to say that this is the best over the shoulder baby carrier you can get for you and your child. The nice thing about this particular baby sling is the fact that it looks so comfortable for the baby. It is as though your child is snuggled into this pouch and is safe and warm.

This baby holder is made of durable fabric and it is the only one that works with the naturalness of your body. It also gives you a variety of ways to wear your baby and accommodates as your baby grows.

Whether you like to carry your baby in the front next to your heart or on your hip, or you like to cradle her or him, this over the shoulder baby holder baby sling will give you the versatility you need.

The people who make the OTSBH have been in business since 1987 so you know this is a product you can trust. They are in the business of making baby slings so they have perfected this through probably thousands of babies.

Another great idea is that they have a variety of styles, colors with the opportunity to change sizes as your baby grows. They also offer distributorships for those people who are looking for a small business.

Reasons You Should Wear Over the Shoulder Baby Slings:
There are many reasons that wearing your baby is a better idea and here are a few from the developers of the Over The Shoulder Baby Holder:

You promote physical development -- a baby that is in a baby sling is able to move more freely and you will have more mobility. When you need to you can use it as a changing pad, cushion or blanket.

Babies worn in baby slings are happier babies -- As you may know, studies show that babies that are held more often are less fussy. When you wear your baby in an OTSBH they are more involved with you and the world around them.

Baby wearing is healthy for you -- As you work with a baby sling like this one you will get your exercise. You will be more comfortable carrying your baby so you will not have to worry so much about getting out and walking. You will naturally do this and walking is a good way for your baby to go to sleep.

Conventional over the shoulder baby carriers do not have the support that the OTSBH has because your baby's legs are forced apart and they cannot comfortably sleep. In this sling they can and their legs are cradled.

This over the shoulder baby holder baby sling is a great sling for parents and babies.

Easy Budget Cuts: How to Trim Entertainment, Food, and Transportation Costs

Homemakers, college students, and professionals alike are looking for ways to cut down their expenses. We've spent our tax refunds and economy stimulus checks, while gas prices and the cost of living continue to skyrocket. The amount of certain bills, like rent and tuition, are what they are. But there are other areas of a budget that can be trimmed significantly with a little effort and creativity.

Probably the easiest area to cut back in is entertainment. Whether you've a fetish for the New York Times Bestseller list, the latest blockbusters, or professional artists and performances, there are ways to still enjoy your interests at reduced cost. One of the keys to cutting entertainment costs is patience. A lot of what you pay for is instant gratification. The longer you wait before your purchase, the more the price will drop.

Instead of buying the hardback edition of the book you want on its release date, wait until a paperback edition comes out, or reserve a copy at the library. If you can hold off seeing new releases in the theater on a Friday night, consider matinees or waiting a few weeks until the movie you want goes to the dollar theaters. With the advent of Netflix and Red Box, you're sure to find other options for movies that fit your budget. Content yourself with the nosebleed section of your favorite opera or grass seats to your favorite artist, or choose to support community theater and local artists for a fraction of the cost.

Food is another expense that can be shaved with some effort. Planting and cultivating a garden can save big money on fresh produce costs. You also get the health benefits of less pesticides and nutrient loss from shipping and time on the shelf. If you don't have the time or space for a garden, you can still save on food by forming a dinner group with friends, family, roommates, or neighbors. Often it doesn't cost much more to double your dinner recipe, so make more than you need and share with a friend. When your friend reciprocates the next time, you can strengthen your relationship with her, get a night off from kitchen detail, and save a little cash.

Transportation can be hugely expensive. Not only do you have gas tanks to fill up, but regular oil changes, maintenance, and emergency repairs can really add up. By choosing a form of transportation other than your car, you will save on all of these things. Carpool, get a bus pass, walk, bike, even rollerblade! Added benefits include exercise for you and less pollution for the environment.

Your thinning pocketbook does not mean you have to give up hobbies, interests, and relationships. Continue to cultivate these things while using creativity and exercising a little patience. Family, friends, the environment, and your wallet will thank you for it.

Pronounced as "may tie", the Mei Tai is a style of baby carrier that is very popular today. The reason is because it is very comfortable for both you and your child. The Mei Tai is either a square or rectangular piece of fabric that is folded in a specific way to help you carry your baby.

This particular style of carrier actually dates back to Asia where in the very ancient days mothers carried their babies by using simple fabrics that were tied to their bodies. This allowed the mother to go about her daily chores and attend to her baby at the same time.

This is a very traditional way of carrying your baby and more mothers are beginning to use this style. They have found that it is very comfortable and versatile because your baby can be worn in the front or the back. It can also be used from newborn to toddler and older if you need to do so.

Many mothers are switching to the Mei Tai baby carrier because of the comfort level they feel. As an example, many have found that they had to abandon their old slings after the first few months because they became very uncomfortable as their newborns grew older.

Mothers also like this Asian baby carrier because it is fashionable and comes in a variety of colors. Other unique features include two padded shoulder straps and waist straps and it has a square body. This give you unlimited ways to position your child and it is a one size fits all carrier; which means it doesn't have to be fitted to your baby.

The way the baby is positioned and the way the baby is tied to your body is all determined by the way the straps are tied to your body. You can also wear it in any season because it can accommodate light clothing or over a coat.

The Mei Tai carrier is very simple to use and there are many great pictures to show you exactly how to wrap it. Moms say it only takes a little practice and you can create any style you want with it.

This Asian baby carrier is becoming very popular in the West because it is very easy for dads or other family members to use so that the baby bonds with everyone in the family.

To summarize, here are basic reasons why this baby Mei Tai carrier is becoming so popular:

You have a variety of carrying positions that include the front, back or your hip. You can change things around to get what is most comfortable for you.

You can carry your child from birth until they are toddlers or older.

You can bond with your baby and keep doing other things. This means you and your baby will bond quickly and easily.

There are no snaps, buckles or clips to hamper your baby's movement or to get caught on something as you go about daily tasks.

The Mei Tai carrier is the perfect fit for any mom who wants to be comfortable all the time.

The History and Evolution of Sunglasses

The evolution of sunglasses has them dating back to ancient China and Rome. It is claimed that Roman emperors enjoyed watching gladiator fights through shiny lenses. In China, sunglass lenses were flat panes of smoky quartz. These types of sunglasses could not correct vision, or protect from harmful UV rays, but they did reduce glare and hide eye and facial expressions, such as when Chinese judges were interrogating witnesses.

In the eighteenth century, the evolution of sunglasses underwent further change in the work of James Ayscough. He experimented with tinted lenses and believed that glasses tinted with a blue or green color could potentially correct specific vision problems. These glasses still did not protect the eye from the harmful UV rays of the sun.

It wasn't until the 20th century that sunglasses evolved to the modern-type sunglasses close to what we know today. In 1929, Sam Foster, who was the founder of the Foster Grant company, sold the first pair of Foster Grant sunglasses. By 1930, sunglasses hit the streets big time. Foster's glasses were the first designed to protect the eye from UV rays. He sold the glasses on the beaches of Atlantic City, N.J. from the boardwalks Woolworth store.

As the evolution of sunglasses continued, in 1936 Edwin H. Land made the first polarized sunglasses. He began by using his patented Polaroid filter for making the sunglasses.

Also in the 1930's, the Army Air Corp commissioned Bausch & Lomb, a company in upstate NY, to develop sunglasses that would protect pilots from high altitude glare. Bausch & Lomb launched the first Ray-Ban aviator sunglasses using the polarized anti-glare technology of Edwin H. Land. These large, curved glasses were designed to protect the eye from every angle. The aviator sunglasses soon became popular with other branches of the military.

It wasn't long until sunglasses became widely popular and more people began buying them. Around this time, even more Americans started buying wearing the new fashionable eyewear. Movie stars and famous musicians began to wear them, giving their popularity a boost. Shaded eyewear had become not only a way to protect against sun glare, but also a way to be "cool." They became a cultural statement, and were worn by some people even when it wasn't sunny, or when they were indoors.

The evolution of sunglasses took another turn in the 1960's and 1970's when designer sunglasses hit the market. Famous designers like Foster Grant took the lead again, but that's a whole other story.

Equine Law and Equestrian Support Groups

Equine law is intended to protect the rights of horses and horse owners in all aspects of the law. The practice of equine law is a specialized field, with many law firms vying for these cases. They range from anything like liability for a loose horse, to suits against sellers or potential buyers, to the abuse of horses.

Equestrian groups have a vast support network concerning the running of their businesses and the rights of horses and their owners. These groups are highly dedicated to disseminating legal and operational information to their fellow horseman.

Horseadvise, for example, offers discussion groups, articles about horse care, diseases, medications, reproduction, training, behavior, and more. Another active group is Equinelaw. The author and owner of this group is Julie I. Fershtman, Attorney at Law. Ms. Fershtman has written two books, Equine Law and Horse Sense, and MORE Equine Lay and Horse Sense, and has a new book currently in publication for release in 2009 titled The ABA_Tips Guide to Litigating Animal Law Cases. Equinelegalsolutions offers advice on subjects such as pros and cons of pre-purchase veterinary exams, equine partnerships, and sample agreement forms on various subjects.

Lexmonitor is a blog where an attorney reviews real case studies and comments from the legal view of the case. An example of cases that can be found here is, "Is a Horse Owner Liable for Damages if A Horse Gets Loose", "Does a Veterinarian Have to Treat Your Horse In an Emergency?", and "What if A Potential Buyer Does Not Return Horse After A Trial Period?"

Even more controversial are the laws governing thoroughbred racing. Although equestrian law supports horse racing as a sport and business, animal rights activists have been up in arms because of recent racing injuries that have lead to the death of several horses.

In 2005, after every attempt was made to save Barbaro, the thoroughbred was euthanized due to injuries suffered during the Kentucky Derby. Only three years later, Eight Belles suffered two broken ankles during the race and was euthanized on the track.

The two horses were distant relatives of a 1950's horse, Native Dancer, who also had a shortened career due to leg injuries. If it was really about the wellbeing of the horses, wouldn't one think that horses put to death would not be the norm at the Kentucky Derby?

Until researching equine law, anyone not associated with the equestrian world would never realize how complex and specialized these laws are and the dedication of the groups supporting the law in conjunction with the law firms defending them.

As you can see, equestrians have a network all their own.

Finding a Liposuciton Doctor

When looking for a liposuction doctor, there are few things to consider. It is very important to go into this consultation ready to ask questions and discuss the things that will help you have the most successful surgery.

There are many things that go into having a good consultation. A good consultation will leave a patient informed and allow the surgeon to understand the direction needed for the procedure.

The first thing you want to discuss during your consultation is the direction you want the surgery to go in. You must discuss your problem areas with the surgeon. You want to see which areas he can take care of at one time. He will be able to give you a realistic idea of what he can do with your problem areas.

If you have a lot of problem areas you want him to attend to, he might have to schedule you for multiple appointments. You want to know that on your first consultation so you will know what to prepare for.

Some people only have to get one surgery, while others get two or three. It depends on the extent of the work you need done. Your surgeon will be able to discuss this with you so you will know how many procedures you will need to get done in order to get the results you want.

After you and your surgeon have decided what areas he is going to work on for you, you then need to discuss cost. You want to make sure your surgeon is going to give you an affordable price for the procedure.

Most procedures cost between $2000 and $5000. Insurance will not cover the cost of the surgery, and the more you want done, the more it will cost. That is why he will need to meet with you in order to know the price he will charge for the surgery.

As important as the price is, you want to also be able to find out what you can expect from the surgery. The type of results the surgeon can get for you is very important. Your plastic surgeon is going to be able to examine you and give you an idea of what kind of results you can expect. Take the time to talk to him about them and make sure you are on the same page. You want to be sure he is expecting the same kinds of results you are.

If you are not happy with his expectations, be sure to ask questions. Find out why his expectations are not the same as your hopes. He might be able to give you important information on how you can improve your chances of getting the results you want.

Do not be afraid to speak up and ask questions during your consultation. Before you go into the surgery, you want to make sure all of your questions are answered. That will help the surgery live up to your expectations. Do not be afraid to ask your surgeon. He is there to help you and he wants you to be pleased with the results of the procedure.

Mei Tai History: Asian Baby Carrier

The original Chinese Mei Tai was a traditional piece of cloth with four unpadded straps that secure by bringing the straps together in a bow against a torso. The original carrier has a history that stretches back hundreds of years as a product utilized by mothers, often carrying their babies in a simple fabric carrier.

A variation of this model emerged in Austrailia in the 60s and later climbed into the baby market in North America in 2003. The Mei Tai baby carrier is now doned by hundreds of brand names like the Ellaroo or the BabyHawk, which come in a variety of different features and fabrics.

The Asian Baby Carier is one of the most versatile baby carriers available, easily manipulated into five different carrying positions whereas most other slings only have two. With its two padded shoulder straps measuring 68 inches long and 4 inches wide, there is extreme comfort available to the parent to wear this sling for long periods of time.

The waist strap is 20 inches long and the square body to frame the baby, all make for an adaptable fit to use in any weather conditions whether you are wearing light or bulky clothing. Based on how the straps are tied will be how the baby is positioned in the carrier.

If the baby wants to be tucked away, propped up to see everything, secured for breast feeding with its legs in or out is up to the child by a simple tie of the straps. The Mei Tai has no snaps, buckles, rings, clips or Velcro on the original design to get in the baby's way or be assembled incorrectly by the parent. There is an optional adjustable feature that has two snap tabs at the base of the carrier.

If leaving these tabs open, the baby will be seated in a cross-legged position and completely covered by the fabric. Snap these two tabs together to make the bottom of the Asian baby carrier smaller, enables newborns to comfortably have their legs out of the carrier and still be properly positioned.

With the snap tabs, the carrier has two positions of adjust ability for their babies bottom and leg comfort. The snap tab extender is available as an accessory for those who would like incremental adjust ability.

The Mei Tai baby carrier is also a fashinable item for Mom, as it has a reversable coordinating print, enabling two great looks from the same carrier. In addition, it is a compact item that folds up and fits right in your purse or diaper bag, making traveling seem like just one less baby item to forget.

Accessories for this product include; a removable headrest for newborns, snap tab extenders so you can adjust the comfort of your baby's seating position by two options: kangaroo pouch or the froggy position, there is a matching fabric carrying bag available for when not in use, and extra zippy panels available in 4 separate fabrics to customize the look of your carrier to be more personalized.

At a purchase price of $80, the Mei Tai Baby carrier can be used for years as your baby grows in height and weight because the straps are made so long. It also includes the standard option for extra large straps, toy ring and the reusable polyester carrying bag.

The Cell Phone Versus Home Phone Debate

Ten or fifteen years ago, a cell phone looked like a thick walkie-talkie with an antenna as thick as your little finger. You'd see them on the ears of glamorous actors pacing down the streets of New York, in movies depicting corporate big city life. It took a few years for them to make their way into the hands of almost every adult; and then, almost overnight, young children had them too!

Many people are opting out of home phones altogether, claiming they have become obsolete with the advent of the cell phone. While the modern technology is unquestionably convenient, it does have some drawbacks you may not notice at first glance. And the trusty home phone may not be as antiquated as you think.

In defense of the home phone: Internet service, security system monitoring, and fax machines all use home telephone lines. True, these services can be acquired through wireless means as well, but usually at a greater cost to you. And of course, there is something to be said for the degree of permanence you get from a land line.

People switch cell phone numbers so often that it can be difficult for business, friends, and even family to keep track of them. Are the days when kids only have to learn one address and one phone number for themselves gone forever?

That said, I am the last one who'd admit to being anti-cell phone. It is my constant companion, as important as my wallet, keys, and chapstick when I'm walking out the door. Cell phones are obviously convenient because you can take them anywhere. Most have built-in caller identification, text messaging, and call waiting.

Probably the greatest thing about it is that you can be reached anywhere, anytime.

But the greatest con? You can be reached anywhere, anytime.

Sometimes it's nice to have time for peace and quiet, where you can't be interrupted. Having something glued to your ear all day long has several drawbacks. Many people have grown so dependent upon their cell phones that they feel naked if they leave them at home or the batteries run out.

Also, having to constantly remember to charge it, as well as the incessant monitoring of minutes and text message use, can be a pain. And don't forget that as the technology improves, so will the number of advertisements popping up on your cell phone screen.

Some people have a land line that they use for neighbors or business, and a cell phone they use for friends and family only. It's nice to have a cell phone number separate from the one you write on credit card applications and give out to businesses, hopefully reducing the number of solicitation calls you get on it.

These days, it can seem almost impossible to live without a cell phone, and insane to criticize them. But make sure to consider all the reasons for your home phone before you pull the plug--literally.

Over The Shoulder Baby Holder Offers Comfort and Security: Try Attachment Parenting with Style

Over the shoulder baby carriers and slings create a safe haven for infants and a convenient way to get around for caregivers. And today's brands are giving them a stylish edge for parents wanting to flaunt their attachment based childrearing techniques.

Baby wearing is just that, the ability to carry a child using a sling or other garment made to allow the wearer to have two free hands. And despite the many infant swings and mechanical bouncy chairs slings a preferred option for getting chores done or a day out on the town.

The Over the Shoulder Baby Holder brand of baby sling offers a variety of colors, fabrics and organic options to allow moms everywhere to carry their children comfortably while providing a close and secure environment. The idea of a sling or an over the shoulder baby carrier is nothing new. Native American's are just one of the many cultures who have utilized devices such as slings and cradleboards for baby wearing. And although baby wearing is convenient for the caregiver it is also beneficial for the child.

Studies indicate the physical touch is an essential aspect of physiological health and development. In a sling a child is literally attached to his mother. This is a great way to harness attachment as well as help a child regulate their physical responses. A child attached to a caregiver can hear their heartbeat as well as feel their breathing patterns. All of this help the child feel closer to the caregiver and regulate their own physical impulses.

Over the Shoulder Baby Holder was first introduced in 1987 and is a big advocate of attachment based parenting. Their brand of over the shoulder baby slings are known for their safe design and comfort. They are easy to use and provide many health benefits including supporting proper spine positioning, which is not being supported in most popular baby carriers which position the infant with legs hanging down and child upright.

Curious babies benefit as well. The OTSBH allows an infant to sit cross-legged so that his weight is dissipated through his legs and hips, as opposed to other styles where the spine has to bear the entire weight of the babies body cutting into circulation. This allows the baby to sit upright and see the world around him without putting the child in a compromising position.

And ultimately babies who are held fuss less. In many of the cultures where baby wearing is the norm babies cry less that babies in Western cultures. Crying is exhausting for both babies and their caregiver. Utilizing an OTSBH or other sling is a great alternative to soothe colicky babies as well as provide content babies with a warm and secure environment.

OTSBH offers a large line of fabric choices in sizes small, medium and large. Parents can choice from solid colors to prints of stars and moons and other popular baby themes. And they now offer a new line of lavishly printed baby carriers in organic cotton, hand dyed, hand batiked and fashion prints.
