If you're not learning and growing in your online business daily, your business is not getting nourished and will die out.

The quickening pace of our times has people signing up for a program, throwing some advertising online and sitting back and waiting for thousands of dollars to instantly roll in.

Some are able to do this, maybe they have more time or money to accomplish it, however to become an online entrepreneur and gain long term success on the Internet, you'll be growing in two fundamental areas.

Here are 2 primary areas that need your attention for you to have success online:
First you will see, hopefully, awareness about yourself. You can't have a business and avoid seeing your strengths and weaknesses.

The other area is that you will get good at an integral part of your business. No need to learn a bunch of things all at once. Get good at one type of marketing, and then as that can be put on autopilot, focus on learning another.

Sports makes for great analogies, so even if you're not into sports, follow along with me here for a moment.

In sports there is a season and a lot of games. If you lose a game, you take a good look at what it was you did, and see how you can do better. It's all about growing and moving forward.

So you might look to see if you broke away from the fundamental things you always did. In sports and in your business, the basics are what always win out.

It might be that you went forward that day with a weak, negative attitude, or that you put making money over the care and attention of a new customer.

Now, is it going to be your way or the world wide web way? Take a look:

Building a successful Internet home business is not about the quick fix. Things will work; they might not be in the timeline you have demanded.

Because of a lack of discipline, and listening to the wrong voice in our heads, the fear and doubt voice, people are much more likely to fall prey to business opportunities that make some crazy promise to them. The promise might be dollars overnight, or it might mean a million visitors of traffic to your web site in two hours.

There is something to be said about learning, taking that knowledge and turning it into experience by taking action. You want to be desirous to get smart in your business, you don't want to be desperate. You are not looking for instant success, unless you are looking to go out of business.

Practice the fundamentals for your online home business by sticking with your opportunity. You don't people in the off-line world buying into a franchise and then two months later, getting out and buying into the next thing. They are in for the long haul, and it should be the same for you online too.

You know what helps you get to the bank besides your car? Your Understanding. Take a look:

Online is all about the promotion of your business website. Here is the key: do it consistent, keep it simple, and affordable. Easily maintained marketing techniques that you learn and get better with will make you a success.

Understand this and you are far ahead of the pack. Stick with the basics; take action daily in your home-based business. Do it with desire, keep that desire in the uppermost part of your mind. If you're only looking for the quick fix, you are playing the score and not the game.

Play the game, and play it with all of your desire. Take a new action today that makes your life and your online business better than it was yesterday.

Internet marketing involves doing several things to drive traffic. Once you have that traffic, you want to keep them at your site longer, and have them coming back again and again, buying as often as possible.

1. Two words that will bag prospects faster than a teen at Wal Mart, Free Bonus. Whether it's your own product bonus or an affiliate bonus that you can offer to your customers, just get yourself a bonus that you can offer for free.

People assume they will find free stuff and good deals online. Don't disappoint them. Here are a couple of things you can come up with to offer them: a free contest, nothing needed to enter, they supply an email address, that's it.

How about offering free, original content to them. Something they can't readily find. Become a source for specific and insightful info and you will gain a lot more visitors that can become customers.

I always make sure that I have a bonus available to new prospects. Often my most successful bonuses are simple reports that take no time to put together, and that are downloadable. Have the prospect leave you their name and email address to get your free offer.

2. Headlines and sub-headlines. Today we are all professional scanners. The Internet has done that to us. Now, to keep people at your site longer, make it easy for them to scan it by having your copy contain large font headlines, and short bold sub-headlines.

If someone had to, they should be able to get a very good idea of what your online business is offering simply by scanning the headlines and sub-headlines.

Note: Gain awareness about the quality and look of your site. A good impression goes along way, like all the way to the bank. If people pull up your site and are immediately hit with a crowded web page, awful colors, and banners flashing, they will not want to spend any time or money with you.

3. If you're not using affiliates, you need to wake up and find a way to involve affiliate marketers, who can make more sales for you. It's very easy for you to set up an affiliate program, one that respects the affiliate marketer by making the sales program easier for them to make sales. Give them rich text ads to work with, a couple of smart banners and easy tracking links that provides them with stats.

4. By simply adjusting your product or service to attract other targeted audiences, you create a wider net to catch more online sales. Think outside the box. Sometimes it's as easy as tweaking your site, or adding on to it. Have others that you mastermind with make suggestions. So much of what we do in business is striving for objectivity to what we are doing. Often we are missing a big chunk of new, available markets.

You can buy ad space in other products such as ebooks, ezines within a certain niche, and subscription sites, to name a few. It's often less costly than many other types of Internet advertising and marketing.

5. Market yourself or business as a professional, and an expert. Just like in life, your stance and how you come off leaves an impression on people, so to should your Internet business. We are all looking for those we can respect and learn from.

You can get published; let people know what you've accomplished. Be authentic and you will gain the trust and the sale of future customers.

There are two types of people, those who like writing - so long as it isn't advertising copy, and those who don't like to write anything, including ad and marketing copy.

They are both in this group though: those who do like to write their name on the back of all the fat checks they get. Increase that kind of writing even more when you try these tips:

1. No marketer writes their copy ideas down and they're done. Copy, just like writing a card to a loved one, takes a bit of time and repeated attempts to get right at what you want to say, and how you want to say it.

Using the idea of the card is a great way to come at this. In your writing you would use care in how you want to come across. You would want your original voice, so you come across authentic, and you would have emotion, a sentiment in there, all to get a response. That is what is missing in most copy. Try writing yours from the perspective of writing that note to an old dear friend.

2. Besides the title or headline the call to action is the most important part of your ad copy. Here is where you drive home the strong suggestion that they buy from you right now. Consider these following points at the end of your copy:

Tell prospects what will occur if they buy your product or service. Don't feature dump, list the most powerful and compelling benefit. What was it that excited you in the first place about your product? Bring that kind of energy into your copy.

You might tell your prospect that the situation they are in can't be solved in any more powerful or simpler way. Mention your experience, the situation you were in, and how things changed because of your product.

3. At the end, summarize a couple of the main features, and the one main benefit to them. They have a pain and you have the balm. Often a testimonial can take the place of you having to say it. A strong, believable testimonial goes a long way.

Also, up until now they've heard from you, now with a testimonial they can hear from someone else, someone like them, or perhaps someone they would like to become, a successful marketer.

4. As a call to action the deadline is very strong. Limited offers, like a discounted price, or any sudden take-away can help propel your prospects to take action.

You might have a bonus in place for the first 100 people; this has been proven to increase sales. And always put into your copy the perceived value of the bonus that you're throwing in.

5. How about upping the guarantee placed at the very end. Give them 60 days instead of 30 days, or how about a lifetime? Who's lifetime? Your sixty-five year-old lifetime guarantee? What is that, a ten year guarantee? Have fun with this, a bit of humor loosens up a prospect.

You see what you're doing here, at the end of your copy you are making a strong case for them to purchase by making it a real no-brainer. Present your internet marketing with some care, and your online sales will increase.

5 Heartstrings that will Pull Buyers Into Your Business

It's the key emotional forces in our lives that compel us to do what we do. Pull buyers into your home based business by understanding their top motivations.

1. People don't necessarily want a business. They are looking for a solution, and that often entails them to consider having their own business.

The solution they are looking for is to make more money. There are a million reasons why. (Fill in your reason here.) Money is the bottom of the bottom line. Knowing this, don't go on and on about your business opportunity without considering your prospects needs right up front.

If your business has the added feature of a residual income stream that can supply a passive income for years to come, all the better. Money doesn't come without the work and activity placed into it, so the rewards of a residual income excites many people. Let your new prospects know this somewhere in your copy.

2. People, in general, have packed a goal or two away, and it's not coming back out unless they have more time. Time is our greatest commodity. It means freedom to do what you want, when you want, wherever you want to, and with whoever you want, for as long as you want.

Is your online business opportunity automated? If it will save your prospect time, like keeping them from having to do phone sales, then let them know this. Automation and the power of the computer along with the Internet is why so many are looking online in the first place.

3. Do a search and you'll find that the word depression is entered into search engines in large numbers month after month. People want to feel good about themselves. So much of that takes place in the mind. It could mean they want to look better, lose weight, etc. but more often than not it's a mind thing.

People want to adopt a new mindset, one of wealth, prosperity and abundance. Who are you to stop them, right?

Consider your service or products to feature these things and you'll have a winner of a business.

4. There are smart successful people who have built businesses or are building families and an online business challenges their smarts, creativity and drive. People do want to learn new things, they thrive on it and the way it makes them feel more intelligent.

We have a large population that fits this model. The retired, whether they did that at 45 or 65, and women who have chosen to be a mom from home, have the ambition, and the ability.

Working from home, stress free can add years to a life, keep the mind active and make people feel healthier and happier.

5. People want to give. They want to give love; they want to make a difference. You'll find this trait in the elderly all the way down to the X and Y generations who are so ingrained with this kind of thinking that to not consider actively making a difference as soon as possible in their lives is sadly looked on by their friends.

Giving fulfills an instinct that has become a real need. It is one of the great uplifts of our times. Embrace this edict in your own business by giving as well. Show others that your product or service will help them to make a change and allow them to help others by paying it forward.

5 Ways to Mega Mojo Sales Online

It's the little details that can have the biggest impact on your sales. Here are 5 common sense tips to destroy competition, gain more sales, and create life-long customers.

1. Put "you" into your sales. So many online business owners maintain a similar tone in their ad copy. You're an Internet entrepreneur; express yourself in your marketing. Don't be afraid to be you. Your prospects want to catch and feel your enthusiasm, your authenticity. People will buy all the time if you can nail those two traits down in your marketing.

You wanted to be an entrepreneur online and it does involve putting yourself out there a bit. Most marketers hide behind their site. Step out; the breakthrough in your business will be noticeable. People will buy from you over the next person if they feel they get you, while the competition continues to hide and stay generic and vanilla.

2. Your story is unique to you. Weather you use your story in an email campaign, your web site or your 'thank you' note to your new customer, just use it. Find a place to use an aspect of your past experiences. Let them know where you were before you had the product or business opportunity, and how it specifically changed something for you.

Consider sending out your resources email, or add them to your website. This is your "personal recommendations" for products and services that have helped you. Include your affiliate links to them.

3. Follow-up with the customer on each sale, not just the first. You are forming trust and a relationship. A 'thank you' goes a long way. Want to blow their minds? Don't sell anything in the thank you.

Tell your new customers that if they refer two or three customers to your web site, they can get a rebate on their purchase price. This will turn one sale into three sales, and you never even had to use the affiliate program on them.

4. If your business involves shipping product, you now have a vehicle of entrance right into their home-based business. Shipping is a form of direct sales; don't let the opportunity be missed. You create an impression with each package you send out. The quality should represent you and your business. The extra dimes will go a long way.

In the shipment to your customer, include a free product with their order. Let them know somewhere what the perceived value of their free product is worth. You can include a flyer for other products. Tell them, "here is something else you might like" or, "customers who bought that also got these products from me".

Include a coupon for these other related products you sell, and this will attract them to buy more from you.

5. If you were in a shop and the owner was selling you something, chances are a conversation would start up. The shop owner might ask you, "What do you do?" What kind of power is there when you take an interest in someone else? It is a long lasting bonding agent. Customers will stick to you.

Find a way to relate to your customers. Ask questions and you'll know how you can help them further.

In the long run, since a customer should be for life and not for a single sale or two, the interest you take will only multiply out the sale you just made, for others ahead.

5 No BS Ways to Getting Online Sales

Here are 5 no BS ways to get more sales coming in. These are proven and simple things you can do right away.

1. Take the time to test your online marketing. You'll save money and headache promoting the right offer to your exact targeted prospect. If the tests aren't drawing the numbers you want, tweak your copy.

Take a look at what the weakness is with the competition, and use it as an angle in to more sales. It will become the reason why people buy your product or service and not theirs.

2. Up the offer. A deal is a great motivator to buy. Many marketers throw in a lot of extras attached to the offer. Show the perceived value of these too. You might give a free trial for a certain period of time. Limited time bonuses or a lower price can quickly push their purchasing decisions. Nothing like a little urgency attached to the deal.

3. Tell your prospects what they can avoid by buying your product or service. Remember the key buying motivators are to avoid pain. So create the emotional image in their minds of the fear or danger of not moving forward right away. Use action words throughout your marketing like, now, and today, click here, right away.

Likewise, letting prospects know what the future will be like if they get your business opportunity or product. Telling them what will happen with their life, how things can be better, sooner rather than later if they buy now.

So far I've mentioned testing your copy, upping the offer, and underlining key motivations for prospects to buy right away from you.

4. Create other marketing like blogs that can draw your initial target audience in to you. Then you can lead your prospects to your core business with links or a banner. Blogs are well worth the time you put into them. You can always hire a blogger inexpensively to post for you to your blog twice a day. Content, as you may know by now, is king on the Internet.

As traffic comes to the blog you might give your visitors a bonus for coming by. Up the offer from the blog site or shave the price down a bit from there. Let them know that if they go to the your core business site, they will notice the offer isn't as juicy for them, or that the price is higher there.

A blog is a good way to help get your message out. Don't make it a sales site though. All of your marketing and copy should be in line with your standards and what you would find valuable if you were looking for your type of product.

5. Consider ezines as a marketing tool with leverage. There are ezines dedicated to more subjects than you will ever know about. Explore the variety available that can be an angle for your business.

Your exact niche market is obvious and worth your attention, but how about breaking the niche down. For example, instead of selling your business opportunity to work at home moms, target it toward realtor's who aren't making the money they're use to. Also consider recent retirees.

It's a good idea to focus your ezine ad or article on info that the targeted readers and ezine publishers want. What does this mean for you? You will get published more often, which means more traffic and sales.

Top 5 Emotional Trigger Words That Make People Buy

1. The word "free" in your ad goes a crazy long way. People want reasons to do anything and free is a big motivator. It could be a free ebook, a service, or a free report you've created. Let them know the perceived value of the free item.

Also, it's not free forever, right? How about for the first 50 visitors, or free until a certain date.

Using a power word together with another one will have a mind-altering affect on your visitors. Try the word "limited" in your ad with the word free. People will go out of their way to own or receive your stuff if they think it's exclusive, or limited. To them it means it has extra value to it.

2. Use the word "new" in your ad, if it really is new. If it's not new, add some detail that makes it so. People want to know what's new, they want to be one of the first to have it. If it's new it may be a breakthrough service or product, one that could improve their life.

Here's a word to be careful of, "Easy". Too many times to too many people, easy means, if you have a degree in physics it's easy. Most things take some effort. And don't use "easy" when marketing your business opportunity.

"Simple" is a better choice. People will believe that with some effort the thing is simple. People like simple steps to making money. Nobody likes easy steps to making money, because we all know making money isn't easy, it's work.

3. The word "important" in your ad is, important. Your visitors do not want to miss important info that might affect them in any way. "Important" is like a stop sign, people will stop and take notice.

You saying that it's important is not enough. Back it up with facts. Give them the hard numbers like, over a billion sold, or, eleven million dollars paid out in commissions.

People look for the word "testimonial" when they see the word important. They don't if the word is free, but if it's "important" give some facts or a "testimonial" in your ad. People want to see believable proof. It should be specific, reputable proof. This is a good way to build trust too.

4. Write like you're talking to one specific person in mind. Use the word "you" in your marketing. This triggers a personal connection and can make it seem to your visitors that you're talking to them. It's been said that addressing your visitor in your ad attracts them to read the majority of the ad. And like wise marketing that is less personal is abandoned sooner.

5. Consider using the word "fast" in your advertising. It's attention getting and a real trigger to people's purchasing reflex. Who doesn't want it all fast? Fast results, fast delivery. Time is of the essence nowadays.

Along with "fast" you will do well to use the word "now". Now is giving them direction. It's the call to action. When we are in front of a salesperson they use their voice, their eyes, their entire body to get you to buy. Online you're at a disadvantage, you have to take the prospect by the hand and tell them several times, "click here now", or "go here now".

A Success Plan For the Online Entrepreneur

Those who are successful with their online business do not just play at it or make it a fun hobby. They have a Success Plan. This might consist of an action plan, as well as a time-management and budget plan.

This plan is a roadmap with projections and estimates of what you'll be doing, spending, and earning at three, six, nine, and twelve months out.

It is easy to think that you can just wake up each day and decide what you're going to do. After all, there is a huge freedom that comes with working from home. As fun as it might be to get a bit lost on your cross-country trip, it's no fun in an online business without a clue where you are going.

The mindset of an online entrepreneur is the single most important part of your Internet business. This mental stance is the preparation of your total self, your business and creative sides, as well as your willingness to evolve and develop into a better you.

Have your plan include your goals and your dreams, along with realistic expectations for your business.
What kind of business plan asks for a better you? Your Success Plan does.

There are all kinds of books out there on millionaire mindset and having the right attitude. If you choose to overlook this part of your total business plan, you'll miss out on the lessons of life through your business. Don't be so involved with business that you can't evolve through business.

Your Success Plan will not be static, it will move and change as you grow your business. And it should be that way for you with new personal understandings that allow you to grow. Consider it a luxury you might not have been able to afford while working for someone else.

Now, here are four components to a Success Plan you should include:

1. A summary of your business, its concepts and its cost. This should also include your mission statement, with goals, dreams and the mindset you will need for your overall focus and success.

2. Your strategy for Response Marketing. Know the emotional keys that will get prospects to respond right away. Also, how do you see yourself helping or leading other along the way?

3. Set things up right. A company name, DBA or LLC, know which is the best way for you to open your business. A few good domains. Set up accounts with your bank and your online merchant. Make lists and include well thought out daily goals.

Go out and get some books to read for motivation and support of the mindset you want to have everyday.

4. A budget of both money and time. Also, consider how you'll refuel yourself. Will you make time in your work from home plan for exercise? How about that passion you may have stored away, can you integrate it now into your life?

Not having a Success map is a lot like throwing money out the window. There is so much it can add to your business, and to your well being.

You are in the business of making money. Now take the next step and make your work at home business also be an opportunity to see yourself more clearly, and to be a better you from the entire experience.

5 Razor Sharp Ways To Get People To Tell You, It Made Me Click

In Response Marketing, your whole task is to get prospects to gut respond, or emotionally respond to your advertising/marketing. Success is when they mention to you, I just had to check that out. Or, (your ad) made me click. Here is 5 ways to make that happen.

1. Don't read this article, it won't help you! Marketing on the Internet features reverse psychology. It works and here is why. The Net is about finding info. If someone wants to make a purchase they go looking for info.

To catch a prospects attention your PPC (pay-per-click)or banner ad could tell them to NOT get a product or join in a particular business. The more the prospect reads they find out that you actually represent the opportunity, believe its great, and that they should get it Now.

2. To get good at Response Marketing, your text or banner ad copy has to appeal to the emotional trigger that makes people buy. Your marketing words have to peak curiosity.

Words to use are emotive words like: ultimate, discover, powerful, explosive, etc. Words you use should relate to your offer, and these words are the very ones that you yourself are moved by and would respond to.

Tell people to click on your ad or banner. This is referred to as a call to action, like "look now" or "click here". People new to the Internet need direction, they need to be told to click because they may not even know they can click on a banner or link and be brought right to the heart of the matter.

Just having the call to action phrase in your ad will absolutely increase your click-throughs.

3. Another psychology is just the old fashioned deal. Everyone loves a deal. You might offer a price discount with a time deadline attached to it. You want to tell your prospect, give them the call to action and give them deadlines, or as human nature is, they might just put off the very thing they want or need.

A deal is so popular on the Net that many people won't even buy unless there is a deal attached. Read that again, it's worth noting.

You could advertise a free offer. Extra goodies are attractive to everyone. People love free stuff all the time. They never don't want free things. Especially when the freebie stuff relates to your prospect. If you present it well, prospects will click where you tell them to, and when you tell them to.

4. Have a strong guarantee. The guarantee can even be used as your headline offer. It can be one of those surefire deals that the prospect will feel silly to not take you up on it, like a double your money back offer. Or, instead of 30 day refunds, how about 60 or 90 days.

5. Let your targeted prospect know the major benefit of your product, or service in your advertising. Present a benefit or feature that has a real emotional wallop like, make money now, lose weight today, increase your energy forever.

This kind of response marketing does much better with testimonials. Prospects like to here about the results of real people. That's why they are used so often. People will stick around longer. A couple of testimonials is enough, and then your offer, and you'll have sales clicking through the marketing you have carefully selected for them.

Do not overlook your ability to overlook things. We all want results fast, yet we overlook the very things we can do to make that happen. Here is 5 focused steps to get your Internet sales up.

1. Are you someone who gives away what you know easily through your day, just talking at the coffee place or wherever you go? Consider offering that expertise as a bonus to a customer who comes aboard your Network marketing business, or who purchases a bundle of your products. A short conversation with you can't help but add value.

Today it is all about value added angles to help bring more sales. Brainstorm on your business and see if you can't find a few places to add incentives that will seem too good to turn away from. New prospects are those who are challenging you to make them new customers.

2. Keep this in the front of your minds: targeted marketing will always bring you better results than mass advertising. The Internet is full of deals to bring you a million hits, or a hundred thousand visitors. Do not waste your time and money.

Don't just start placing ad's randomly. If you plan out what it is you want to do, and you know who your targeted prospect is you will have a clearer idea where to place your marketing. A site like Alexa can help you figure out the best places and publications for you on the Net.

3. Details matter. Realize this and you are on your way to increasing your profits. Look at the details of your site, like graphics, or colors. Consider the text or copy that you are using to reach the new prospect. Improvements to the details of every aspect of your business will make a big difference.

4. Have a system in place to always have an email campaign going on in the background of your day-to-day business. Choose the right autoresponder or email marketing solutions company, and you have one of the best partnerships your online business can have.

The details in the messages you broadcast out are important. You should not be afraid to personalize all your e-mail messages. These are the ones that get read and are even saved. You should include the recipient's name in the subject line. Your email will more often be opened than if you didn't include it. It's a busy world, you need to grab people's attention quickly.

5. That leads to this last point. Marketing online is about flexibility. It's about tweaking things and testing them out. Be open and willing to change anything. It could be testing a new price point for your product, adding in a new payment option, or doing what I call "wild mind". That's writing your marketing copy from your intuitive heart.

Whether you have found your online opportunity or are actively looking, know that what you will be doing is Response Marketing. The copy you use should always aim for an emotional response from your prospects.

Purchasing anything is always a tug of war between the excitement of having it and the logic of needing it. Prospects supply the logic, so you will be primarily appealing to the emotional reasons for them to jump in. Do this and you cannot help but light up your sales.
