Nokia 5530 Music Express Review

Rating: Not yet rated

Nokia 5530 is Nokia's new touch screen handset. Nokia is billing this phone to be the alternative to the LG Cookie or other similar low budget touch screen mobile phones. However, Nokia guarantees that this phone is a lot better than the other touch screen phones in the market. For starters, this new generation phone has got a 2.9in resistive touch screen which comes with a stylus which is used for interacting with the screen. Nokia 5530 runs with the Nokia n97's resolution. You must have seen the pictures and video on the n97 which looks a little bit blurry at times, however, since Nokia 5530 has a smaller screen and runs with the same resolution as of the n97, the picture and the video quality looks much crisp and detailed.

Nokia 5530 is an express music phone which means that this phone is designed for consuming the media content on the go and as a result it has got a 3.5mm jack for the headphones at the bottom of the phone. You can use headphones according to your choice; however, you get a pair of nice earphones with the package which is specially designed to provide an excellent sound quality.

On the back of the handset there is a 3.2 MP camera with an LED Flash and it also comes with a wi-fi which is important since there is no 3G on the phone. There is an inbuilt memory of 4GB which can be expanded up to 16GB or even 32 GB with the help of the microSD card. Nokia 5530 runs the same operating system as the Nokia n97 does. It means that you have got all your home screen widgets and social media contents. It is way better than n97 since in n97 you can only display 4 of your favorite contacts, however, in this phone you can display up to 20 contacts including all their recent blog posts, twitter feeds etc.

Nokia 5530 is an absolutely symbian device which means that you can put applications in this phone according to your choice. You can also upgrade your browser from the standard Nokia web kit browser on to Opera or Sci-Fi. It has got 5 hours of talk time and 14 days of standby which means that you will not have to worry about charging the phone in between a week's holiday trip. It is a low-end phone aimed towards the younger end of the market and users are quite satisfied with the performance of the phone so far.
