Sit N Go’s-Discover The Way To Make A Stable Income Playing Them

Sit n go’s have come a long way since the beginning of online poker. Online poker sites have integrated new interfaces and graphics to support sit n go’s. For example, on Full Tilt Poker or Poker Stars it is now easy to play 10 or more sit n go’s at one time! Once you learn how to take down first place almost every time in a single table sit n go, you will be ready to move into multi-tabling sit n go’s in order to make a stable income. The first thing you must understand about sit n go’s is that you MUST have patience. The first 20 poker hands in a sit n go are usually folded and even if you are not getting cards, you need to wait it out. The blinds will not kill you at the early stages. Basically when you play a sit n go there are 3 stages; early stage, middle stage, and late stage.



Early stage- (6-9 Players left) In the early stage of a sit n go you must have patience. The first 20 poker hands are usually folded. The reason why you need to have patience is there are always maniacs that play that go all in preflop with terrible hands. You will see this in 95% of the poker tournaments you play in! The best thing to do is fold your hands and wait it out until they knock each other out. The blinds are so low in the early stage it does not even matter if you fold the first 20 hands. Don’t fold obviously if you have AA, KK, AK… at that point you have no choice but to be in a confrontation with them.



Middle Stages-(6-4 Players left) In the middle stages of a sit n go you must switch from playing tight to a more aggressive game. When it gets down to 4 player’s in the texas holdem poker tournament, the best poker tip I can give you is to PLAY AGGRESSIVE. At this point, many players will be just trying to secure third place and make it into the money. You need to take advantage of these players and build your poker chip stack. It’s nice to try and make the money every time but in the long run you won’t be profitable until you learn how to constantly take down first place. A first place victory is 50% of the prize pool, 2nd place victory is 30%, and a third place victory is 20%. Now seeing that, taking down first place is just like winning 3 3rd place finishes.



Late Stages- Now that you have built your chip stack by being aggressive in the middle stages, it is time to take down first place. If you are the chip leader with 3 left, continue to play aggressive and at the same time have patience. You already made it to the money, now you just need to outsmart 2 other players. When you do this, you’re on the road to constantly making a stable income.
