One of the most important historical and cultural areas of Egypt is Luxor, with its high concentration of ancient sites. Luxor is situated in southern Egypt (also known as "Upper Egypt") and can be easily reached by train from the capital city of Cairo. Located on the site of the ancient capital of Thebes, you can see numerous mindblowing attractions in and around Luxor, such as the Temple of Hatshepshut, the Valley of the Kings and Queens, the Colossi of Memnon, and plenty of others. The Luxor area is absolutely a required part of anyone's Egypt experience. But one of the most outstanding sites in Luxor, located right inside the city along the banks of the Nile, is Karnak Temple.

Known as Ipet-Isut by the ancient Egyptians, this temple was the focal point of the city of Thebes, the ancient capital of Egypt at the time. Starting from 1900 BCE when the Temple of Amun was built inside the Karnak complex, Thebes became the capital of ancient Egypt for about 1500 years. This place served several functions: it was the center of worship of the holy trinity (Amun-Re, Mut, and Khonsu); it was the official residence of the pharaohs; it was the administrative center of the kingdom.

The reason the complex of Karnak is so gigantic is that is served not only as a temple but also the city center of the capital of the kingdom. In person, its size is quite overwhelming. One of the halls, the Great Hypostyle Hall, is comprised of 134 massive pillars, with each one measuring from 15 meters (50 ft) to 21 meters (69 feet) tall. Each pillar is so wide that 6 people are required to be able to reach their arms all the way around it. If you can envision the statues of the pharaohs that were once situated in this hall amongst the pillars, then you can easily imagine the scale of Karnak's glory.

It isn't hard for visitors to get to Karnak, because it is just a 10 or 15 minute walk from the town center, and even faster by taxi. The complex opens at six in the morning, just in time to see it illuminated by the light of dawn. During the evening a different type of illumination can be seen, as Karnak Temple puts on a sound-and-light show, which has been known to hypnotise visitors with its stunning effects set upon such a mystical backdrop.

Luggage straps are nothing but we can say in simple language locks used to secure our luggage. They may be built into luggage, or external locks such as padlocks or lockable straps. In many countries the Transportation Security requires access to luggage without the passenger being present; to allow travellers to lock their luggage they have approved certain locks with luggage straps which they can open and relock.

We always put a few good luggage straps around our bags. It's just that much more for any potential thief to hassle with and it keeps things together when the baggage handlers do something like toss it down on a corner and bust the bag.

The luggage straps which look like 8 but no breaks are new one.. It's the strapping itself that is wearing out for some reason. There are some also new luggage straps of the same quality are available in the market .They all seem to be made out of plastic and break the first or second time they're checked through. We have actually snapped when we tugged on them and there are severe flaws visible on some others.

There are several types of luggage straps with new fancy style of handle are running in the market. By the help of luggage straps we can save our valuable from thieves . We can lock our luggage with luggage straps to the fix pole or any steady think so that no one can take away that.

Most commonly all of luggage straps are made from good elastic with fashionable design on it. They are also comes with different lock system.

Descending To The Dead Sea

The Dead Sea is a hypersaline body of water lying in the Jordan Valley, on the border between Jordan, Israel, and the Westbank. Incidentally, if you want to know where the occupied territory called the Westbank got its name from, it came from its position on the western banks of the Jordan River. The Jordan River is the main source of water flowing into the Dead Sea from north to south, down into the lowest point on Earth.

The Dead Sea's name was derived from the impossibililty of animals to live within its highly saline waters. That high salinity is caused by the extreme heat causing evaporation of the water, compounded by the endorheic nature of the lake. Endorheic is a word meaning that the water in the lake has no outlet for escape, and can only leave the lake by evaporating. Its main tributary is the Jordan River which flows southward into it, but since the volume of the Jordan's flow has been dropping, less water has been reaching the Dead Sea, though water hasn't stopped evaporating. The water level of the lake has dropped significantly during the last century, causing the southern end of the lake to become drained, leaving little other than salt flats.

The high salinity and evaporation provide visitors with an experience like something out of a science fiction movie. The salt flats are reminiscent of the moon's landscape, while the salty waters allow the swimmer to float and experience weightlessness. The extremely high salinity of the water (8.6 times as salty as the ocean!) make it more dense than your body, so it is impossible for you to sink. But all visitors have fun trying to make themselves sink! Something swimmers need to know is that the Dead Sea's water will make your eyes really sting if it enters them, so you need to prevent water from splashing your eyes. If saline water does enter your eyes, you will need some help from another person to pour some fresh water on your eyes and clear them out. On top of that, the salt water will enter every single crevice and scrape or scratch on your whole body. It you have any cuts, wounds, or external infections, then all of those places will hurt when you enter the water. But that is best part of the Dead Sea experience, that freakish shock, and you will indeed benefit from the water's healing characteristics. Even if it stings a little!.

The water's high mineral concentration also makes the mud around the perimeter of the lake full of healthy healing minerals. An integral part of any Dead Sea experience is to lather your entire body with black mud and benefit from its healing minerals. The sea's water itself also contains those minerals, so swimming also brings the visitor those same health benefits.

The Dead Sea is a highlight of any trip to the Middle East, and it is one of those travel experiences you will never forget.

Boat Race Begins: Visit Kerala

If you want to enjoy an all-in-one tour meaning bodily rejuvenation, spiritual enrichment, pleasure of sports, and educational sojourn, this is the time to visit Kerala, the southern most tip of India. A series of snake boat racing are to begin soon in the State. The snake boat racing here is something of a cult, just as bull fighting is in Spain. This time monsoon begins to taper off but lingers on, and the magnificent festivals of boat races begin in the unfolding sheets of backwaters of this land. Made world famous by the participation of India’s first Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru in 1952, boat races or snake boat races are a treat to the eye that no visitor to Kerala wants to miss. Beginning with august 15, some a dozen or more boat races are to take place in the backwaters of southern Kerala. Though the most famous is the Nehru Trophy boat race, locally known as “Vallamkali,” other boat races have earned a name with their novelty and excellence. This splendour is also a photo-op for the lens-lovers. Each boat is a 100 or more ft-long and accommodates a 100 or so men, wsho are trained for this sport. Both ends of the boats are raised from water level. The rear end has a height of about twenty feet from the surface of water. Nearly eighty six persons are rowers, ten to fifteen are to give the rhythm, four are to steer the vessel. Their rowing in unison in the background of music and limericks is something that would surely enthrall you. It takes several months of rigorous regimen and practice to participate in the festival. Today the competition is so tough that the boats go like arrows to outbid the rivals. Since it is a team sport, not individual, each participant has to sync in with the others. If one misplaced note can mar the symphony, one out-of-turn paddle can spoil the chance of a boat. SLS Tourists has a tourpackagekerala that would serve you pretty well. This time of the year is also good for Ayurveda treatment or rejuvenation therapy as the state has a temperate weather following months of rainfall. Check with SLS Tourists and pick your choice. It is not a bad idea to go on your on in a backwater cruise in one of the houseboats or canoe at night and watch the sports during day. Those go for sheer pleasure or to indulge your love or savour a bit of culture the trip would prove extremely beneficial. “Money well spent,” is how a blogger from Germany wrote about the season. Kerala is rich in water and it is not surprising water sports have taken roots in the State. After monsoon most of the 40 rivers and hundreds of kilometers of backwater lakes would be brimming, giving a fitting time for water sport. Kerala Tour Operator, Tour Packages Kerala offers Tour Package Kerala hillstation and wildlife tours a wide range of customised and cost-efficient tours to India and beyond.
