It’s Showtime

Once again, it’s time to represent the company at their annual trade exhibition. All day (maybe all week if unlucky), people will walk around with forced smiles on their faces being overly pleasant to people they’d never even speak to normally, despite their actual mood at the time. However, trade exhibitions can be very fulfilling and rewarding to those involved. Trade exhibitions are where determined sales people excel and office juniors get enlisted in moving a lot of boxes around.

Some people actually relish the chance to go to a trade exhibition – minding the company stand all day without a break or sympathy. Others would move heaven and earth to avoid the potentially daunting task. Not only are exhibition stand hosts on their feet all day, the exhibition stand environment can be notoriously dull without good planning considerations. If a dreary looking stand doesn’t appeal to the trading public, how can it possibly inspire those tasked with treading its carpet all day?

The exhibition stand design is often overlooked with the naivety that the product is the main focal point. However, it takes an attractive stand to pull the people in, a good product to keep them there and an enthusiastic sales person to forge a relationship with the potential client/customer.

The most fascinating exhibition stands often reside at exhibitions focussed on typically boring subjects. A cutting edge product that looks good often sells itself and doesn’t need to be promoted by as flamboyant an exhibition stand as those products of lesser desirability.

Either way, whether the visitor goes to look at the products on display or to marvel at the latest in Exhibition Stand Design, there should always be something of interest to look at and to persuade them to come back to the exhibition stands again next year.
