When you live in a building that is old or new, it can catch on fire due to the wiring, an accident, or something else. There can be so many floors in the buildings that if it were to catch on fire, it will be hard to get out of. The fire can go from floor to floor and destroy everything, maybe even lives.

There will be lots of smoke and fire coming out of the windows, and if you are caught inside the building you will get the smoke and toxins in your lungs, and it will be hard to breath. Then you will have to be taken to the hospital for help and a breathing treatment.

If the building catches on fire because of faulty wiring or an electrical fire due to plug-ins or water getting to any kind of cord, you may not know about it until it is too late and you are trapped inside. If you have a fire due to water getting to the cords, you better pray that you are not on the floor when it happens because it will electrify you to death.

Faulty wiring happens when someone put the wires in the wrong place or puts them together. Don't have someone mess with the fuse box if they are not a professional because it will be dangerous for every one in the building.

If someone is smoking in the building, it can be very bad. If a smoker throws his or her cigarette out the window, it could go back in someone else's apartment because of the wind. It can set their place on fire. If you fall asleep and you have a smoke in your heads, it can fall on the floor and set your carpet on fire. You wouldn't even know it until you get burned or the smoke wakes you up, but sometime you may not wake up. You might end up dead instead. If you have a pet and it bites through the cord, it will electrify them and start what ever it is near it on fire. Not only will you lose your pet but you will lose your home too.

So make sure you check all the wiring and make sure your cords are off the floor so nothing will get to it, and it will make it safe for you and your family. Or get a professional to look at it if it looks funny to you.
