The hormonal implants are the most long-lasting methods of birth control. These are the various plus-points of using contraceptive methods.

The cons of birth control encompass many aspects like side-effects, disorders and dysfunctions. Some of the sterilization methods are extraordinarily costly. The methods which claim to be permanent can be temporary and fail to be 100% effective. Many of the methods do not control the spreading of STD's and hence fail to meet the requisite purpose.

The intra-uterine devices can cause menstrual infections and other problems. Many females have problems when it comes to the latex or the spermicide applied on the condoms and hence may harm the vaginal tract.
