Tongue Cleaners

Since bacteria cause a lot of the bad breath that is exhaled from our mouths, we have to get rid of those bacteria. Halitosis, or chronic bad breath, is known to form on the tongue and underneath it. The bacteria react with the proteins in the mouth and therefore the odor forms.

Companies have successfully made tongue cleaning products that will help to lessen the amount of bacteria on our tongues and this in turn will prevent odor-forming bacteria to flourish. This bad breath product is usually a special stainless steel object that is used to clean the tongue by scraping it.

It is a painless process and there are even products that are made of plastic to make the experience even more comfortable. However, it has been proven to be more effective to use a stainless steel product to clean the tongue.

Floss

If you have ever been to the dentist, one of the first and last things he or she will tell you is that it is essential for you to floss as often as possible. Dental floss is a bad breath product that allows you to clean the tightest of crevices in between the teeth. It is usually made up of a thin nylon filament or a plastic ribbon. This string is used to get in between teeth to remove food chunks and plaque. Some flosses are even flavored with mint and laced with some chemicals that can help to keep your mouth fresh and also kill the bacteria that collect in between teeth. This is a very effective bad breath product and many brands like Therabreath, have their own dental floss out on the market.
