Reasons Why You Should Cater Your Next Event
The big day is coming up and you have fifty people coming in from out of town and a slew of guests who are looking forward to critiquing your party skills.
With so much involved with planning a party or event, the last thing on someone's agenda is cooking and slaving over a hot meal for a fifty or more guests. Having the event catered is a convenient way for the host to sit back and truly enjoy their party. The majority of the time spent at most parties and events is where the host is either preparing dishes, serving the food and then of course clean up. By this time many guests can already be getting ready to head home.
Here are a few reasons why you should cater your next event and take the pressure off yourself so you can enjoy your guests and your own party.
Convenience- The main reason why so many have events catered is because of the convenience involved in not having to set up, serve and clean up the food and drinks for the evening. The caterer will come in and have all of the food prepared and begin setting up the tables and the party area with tablecloths and utensils. Some caterers will just drop off the food while others will serve the food to the guests; this is beneficial if you have a large crowd at your event. Some caterers will even remove the food from your party and clean up after themselves while others leave a considerable amount of waste behind. Be sure to ask the catering company ahead of time what their plans are.
Negotiate costs- There are ways to trim down on the costs of the catering bill. Have the party at your own place or home and have the caterers do only a partial amount of work such as just prepare the food that alone could shave your final bill up to 50%. Picking up the prepared food from the caterers is also a way to save more money. You can also negotiate the costs by asking for meals that are on special for that month, you can also substitute more expensive food items such as seafood for something more traditional such as chicken.
Variety of foods- Catering offers a wide variety of foods for guests to choose from. Typically, a large garden salad is standard with most caterers as well as dinner rolls and a desert .You can specify which foods you would like and how you want them prepared as well. Sometimes you can cater from your favorite restaurant and they can have the food fresh when it arrives such as Mexican food, Italian food or items like submarines or sandwiches.
Catering offers a variety of food choices and options as well as convenience, so you can enjoy your get together and mingle with family and friends.
