DJ Adam Goldstein Dies Of An Overdose...
 
DJ AM (real name Adam Goldstein), who once famously dated Nicole Richie, was found dead in his apartment yesterday after a reported overdose.
According to police sources the DJ was found dead "face down” in his NY home surrounded by a crack pipe and prescription pills.
Sources say that Adam had been devastated over a break-up with girlfriend Hayley Wood shortly before his death. Apparently she called off their relationship within the last week.
The tragedy comes just a year after Adam miraculously survived a plane crash last year that killed four people and seriously injured Blink 182 drummer Travis Barker.
Celebrities have reacted with shock about the DJ's death. On Twitter yesterday, Lindsay Lohan wrote
"I can't believe this.. i'm in shock. why? why? r.i.p. adam."
Meanwhile Kelly Osbourne told her followers:
"I just cant believe that adam (dj.am) is gone i dont want to believe it im in shock. he was one of the most genuine people i have ever met!"

Noel Gallagher Says He Quit Oasis After "Violent Intimidation”

As you've probably already heard: Oasis are over. After 18-years together, Noel Gallagher walked out on the band on Friday after he had a massive row with his brother Liam.
But now in a message to the band's fans Noel has claimed that he decided to quit because of constant "verbal and violent intimidation".
On the band's website on Saturday Noel wrote:
"The level of verbal and violent intimidation towards me, my family, friends and comrades has become intolerable."
Although Noel offers no details about what the intimidation was, or who was responsible for said "violent” intimidation.


Police Report Reveals Shocking Details Of Chris Brown's Assault On Rihanna...

While Chris Brown was in court in Los Angeles yesterday to face sentencing for his assault on Rihanna, we spotted the Umbrella singer out and about in New York.
Meanwhile, now that the case is finally closed police reports on the incident have been released and they don't paint a pretty picture.
In a statement officers described a call from a "screaming woman,” who was "very upset and crying”.
Rihanna confirmed that she had, had an argument with Chris earlier that evening and it continued as they made their way home in Brown's car, but things really turned nasty when Rihanna "became enraged and slammed both of her fists against the dashboard.”
This is when Brown pulled the car over, tried to push Rihanna out and started punching her. He then continue to drive with his left hand while he hit her with his right and he only stopped when Rihanna checked her face in the mirror to see if it was swollen.
Chris then told his girlfriend, "I'm going to beat the s%$* out of you when we get home. You wait and see.”
The report claims Rihanna then made a call to her personal assistant, which only enraged Brown further and he said, "You just did the stupidest thing ever! Now I'm really going to kill you!”
More punches were thrown and as Rihanna tried to flee Chris put her in a headlock, bit her left ear, and put so much pressure on her throat that she nearly passed out.
The attack finally came to an end when Rihanna tried to break the car window with her shoe.
Now we know you've probably heard most of this before as rumours have been circulating for sometime now about what happened that fateful night, but there's something about hearing the cold hard facts from the police report that make it that bit more chilling.


C4 Have Axed Big Brother

Even the most diehard Big Brother fans can't have failed to notice that this years show has been a bit of a bore so you wont be surprised to hear that C4 have finally decided to axe the tired format. The Sun reports that a show insider revealed:
"The reality is people are BORED with it. Even at Channel 4 the vibe among staff is that if you like Big Brother you're not cool. If the people commissioning the show don't think it's cool, what hope is there?”
It's been suggested that an official announcement will be made by the end of the week and Channel 4 will confirm that after just one more series, which they are contractually obliged to make after signing an £180million deal with Endemol, Big Brother will be no more

Michael Jackson's Death Was Homicide...

Ever since Michael Jackson's untimely death on 25th June rumours have been circulating that Dr Conrad Murray may have been to blame for the tragic singer's demise.
Yesterday the Los Angeles County coroner confirmed that the King of Pop's death was in fact homicide and it is now increasingly likely that criminal charges will be filed against Murray.
The Sun has revealed that Jackson "was killed by lethal levels of the powerful anaesthetic Propofol” and Dr Murray confirmed he had been treating the singer for insomnia for six weeks leading up to his death.

Others see it as half full. But is it really as simple as that? Is it possible to be a bit of both? What are the advantages and disadvantages to both? Maybe there is more to both mind-sets.

When you think about it, most people tend to be an optimist sometimes and a pessimist other times. Ironically, a lot of times things turn out how the people tend to feel about them. If a person feels like something will go well or feels optimistic about it, it usually seems to go well. The same is true of the reverse. When someone feels like something will go badly, it tends to do just that.

So why is this?

Henry Ford once said, "If you think you can, or you think you can't, you are right!" Does this mean that what we think about, whether positive or negative, tends to happen? The only answer that I can really give to that is yes, but very basically. We cannot simply think things into existence, no matter how optimistic we are, if that is all we do. And when it comes down to it, that's not really optimism, but delusion.

But then is there any real difference between pessimism and optimism if, when it comes down to it, the results aren't any different? The short answer is yes, with an added but.

Pessimism will tend to lead to bad outcomes, whether it is because you just think things will turn out poorly and thus do not take any action, or because the pessimism will color your actions and choices and as a result you tend to do things that will make the result what you expected, the bad outcome.

Now where the but comes in with optimism is that the mere act of thinking either optimistically or pessimistically will for the most part produce not much difference in outcome, with perhaps a slight edge to the optimist. However, when you add positive, productive action to that optimism, this is when truly amazing things can happen. You can be as optimistic as you want that you will find a way to get the money for that new car or new house, but unless you are including the productive action that helps to push things to that end, you will never get there. The difference between only thinking optimistically and thinking optimistically while acting in a productive manner is kind of like saying to an empty fireplace "Give me warmth and then I will put some wood in you".

I once knew a woman who always said, "I would rather expect the worst and be pleasantly surprised on the rare occasion when good happens than be disappointed all the time". This pessimistic attitude of hers has brought her nothing but misery and strife, and yet she still thinks it has nothing to do with her. She does not realize that her pessimism is coloring her entire life and making the bad things she expects to happen actually happen. My response to her was always, "I would much prefer to expect the best and enjoy what life gives me than to constantly worry about how bad things are." For a long time, we had the same results. Then I realized that I needed to do my part and put positive, productive action behind my thoughts. And while I am not where I want to be yet, I have moved much closer to it and have been much happier along the way.

So I would say to you: be optimistic! Expect the best out of life! Expecting the best out of life is better than being miserably pessimistic. Above all though my optimistic friend, don't forget to do your part to not just think but also act optimistically.

Britain's Got Talent runner-up Susan Boyle checked into The Priory clinic last night after suffering an 'emotional breakdown.' Police were called to the singer's hotel room after the shows aides reported she was 'acting strangely.' A police spokeswoman confirmed:

“We were called about 6pm on Sunday to a central London hotel to doctors assessing a woman under the Mental Health Act. Police attended at the request of ambulance personnel and the woman was taken voluntarily to a clinic."

Speculation has been rife that Susan has been struggling to cope with the pressures of fame and following Saturday nights final she reportedly ran down the corridor shouting, “I hate this show." Perhaps the time has come for Susan to step out of the limelight.



Michael Jackson Postpones His Tour...

If you were one of the lucky Michael Jackson fans that managed to snap up tickets for his early shows then you are going to be bitterly disappointed to hear three of the initial dates have been moved to March 2010!!

It's been revealed that Jacko's opening night has moved from the 8th July to the 13th, which isn't really a big deal, but the news he's also moving the 10th, 12th and 14th July to March next year wont go down well with his loyal fans.

Promoters and producers AEG Live claim it was a “tough" decision to make and they insist they wont be moving any more dates, as if that's any sort of conciliation to the people who thought they were going to see him first and are now lumbered with seeing him last?! But Randy Phillips, president and CEO of AEG Live, said the change had "absolutely nothing to do with (Jackson's) health" and any people that cannot make the rescheduled dates will receive a full refund.

How long do you reckon before he cancels the entire thing? We all know it's coming….



Katie & Peter Have Split!!

Well we didn't see this one coming and if we're honest we're struggling to get our heads around the news but the official statement from Katie and Peter's camp reads:

Peter Andre and Katie Price are separating after four and a half years of marriage, Can Associates Limited can confirm today.

They have both requested that the media respect their families' privacy at this difficult time.

Rihanna Flees After Explicit Photos Leaked...

Rihanna is said to be embarrassed and devastated after a set of raunchy pictures of the star posing naked were leaked online.

The images, which show the singer revealing intimate parts of herself in a hotel bathroom, made their way onto the internet on Friday and since then Rihanna has fled Hollywood and headed to Hawaii where she intends to remain for the time being. A friend of the star said:

"She is freaking out. She was on the road to recovery after a terrible few months. She has no idea how these pictures have been leaked but she's determined to find out. She's rushed off to Hawaii to escape the scrutiny."

"She's recording her new album and wants to shut herself in the studio away from the world for a few days."

One of the leaked photos shows a man, believed to be Chris Brown, sitting in the hotel room with a pair of pink knickers on his head. Since the emergence of the images Rihanna's record label Island Def Jam have demanded that they be removed as they "violate the artist's rights", however her lawyers have not yet denied that the photos are genuine. Jodie Marsh Takes Up Body Building!!

When we first saw these pictures of Jodie Marsh's new body we got a mental image of her sitting at home twiddling her thumbs whilst thinking, “pretending to be a lesbian didn't get me much publicity so what should I do next?! I know I'll become a bodybuilder, that will get people talking…."

The former glamour girl has reportedly dropped three dress sizes and is planning to drop another stone as she continues to beef up her body.

Showing off her new look in the latest issue of New! magazine Jodie revealed she's been hitting the gym for past six months and “As I saw my body changing, I really liked my muscles and as Tim (her personal trainer) is a body builder it just went from there" she explains before adding, “I might do a bodybuilder competition in August."
