You'll be able to see exactly what it is that people want. You'll also see the threads that don't get any activity at all. These are the products that you probably want to stay away from. It's called doing research and it's a vital part to creating products that sell.
Another way to go about it is to the Clickbank marketplace. In some ways, this may be even better as not only will you see the top products, but you'll know just how well they're selling. The marketplace has some great stats that you can view. One of those stats is gravity. Gravity is the number of affiliates who have sold that product. Some gravities are 300 or more.
