Prince Charles was born on November 14, 1948 and is the eldest son of Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh. Although he is a resident of and mostly directly involved with the oldest realm, the United Kingdom, he is equally and separately the heir apparent to the thrones of sixteen sovereign states. He is also heir to the position of Supreme Governor of the Church of England, Lord of Mann, Duke of Normandy, and Paramount Chief of Fiji. His other titles are Duke of Rothesay and Duke of Cornwall.

Of course Prince Charles was married and divorced to Lady Diana Spencer and had two sons, Prince William and Harry. Then he was married again to Camilla Parker Bowles.

The 1993 Rolls-Royce Silver Spirit was the first of a new generation of models for the Rolls-Royce company. It became the basis for the Flying Spur, Silver Dawn, Park Ward and touring Limousine. Its chassis was also used by its sister company, Bentley to its new Mulsana/Eight series. The Silver Spur had the same basic floor pan of the Silver Shadow as well as its V8 engine. It continued the self-leveling suspension and high degree of ride quality of the Silver Shadow by using a gas-shocked absorbers and a Girling automatic ride height control system. Produced at the same time the Silver Spur was the long wheelbase version of the Silver Spirit.

The Silver Spirit III and Silver Spur III were introduced in 1993. They both had a new intake manifold and cylinder heads which upped the power output. Rear seats that adjusted independently and dual airbags were also the other new features.

A 1996 Rolls-Royce Silver Spur was the last car that carried Princess Lady Diana around on her last trip to the United states.
